Chapter twelve

*harper's pov*

Matt, nick and chris all went to sit at a table to talk about where chris had been. I told kai to make their usual and i told one of the waitresses to take it over to them. I payed for it so they didn't have to worry about that. My brothers sat on another table after they had ordered and payed for a few cakes.

"Did you know where chris was?" Kai asked me.

"Ye. But he told me not to tell them" i say looking over at the triplets. Matt and nick seemed to be really angry and chris seemed to be getting agitated.

"I thought you guys weren't on speaking terms" Kai told me making me stop looking at the triplets and over to him. I had told kai about the situation between me and chris when i had went into the bathroom in the cinema.

"Literally thats what i said. AND we almost kissed" i whispered the last part because i wanted to tell him but i didn't want anyone else to hear it.

"WHAT" he screamed. The whole cafe went quiet. All of the attention was on me and kai.

"Shhhhhhh" i put my finger over his lips and pushed him into the kitchen. "Keep your voice down. I feel like it was just the moment." I pause thinking back to earlier. I shake my head and remember where i am. "There's no feelings. Plus he just broke up with his girlfriend"

"Bros a playaaaaaaa" he said stoking his chin. "Wait he went to kiss you or you him?"

"Him me? I think." I responded

"So bro's a cheater?" He said with a confused look on his face

"Stop acting like a jock" i say rolling my eyes "and technically he's not a cheater since we didn't actually kiss"

"Ok ok" he puts his hands up in surrender we walk back out to the front to see that my brothers had left and the triplets had finished with their orders. I went over to collect their mugs and wrappers, since no customers were at the register i could talk for a little while.

"Hey guys" i say collecting the mugs and putting them onto a tray.

"Mhm" matt looked away from me

"Huh? What are you mad at me for this time?" I say moving so i could see his face.

"You didn't tell us where Chris was both times i feel like your hiding something from us and i feel like your being a little distant" he said looking up at me.

"Matt can we talk about this tonight at your house because i don't want to talk about this with ears about. If you know what i mean." I say this as i was about to walk away and matt agrees by nodding his head. I see from the corner of my eye Chris rolling his eyes.

"Another private conversation" he mumbles but i heard it.

I decided to ignore it and get back to work.

After about an hour or two nick and chris had gone home. They had decided to walk because 'they needed fresh air' or something like that. Matt stayed behind and since kai was the owners son he let matt behind the counter to hang out with us.
