Today i was going to the movies with all three of the triplets. They wanted to 'take me out' since apparently we havent hung out in forever. The last time we hung out was last night, when we literally watched a movie. Im starting to feel like thats all we do together. Chris invited kai from the cafe and matt invited sasha.
I havent hung out with kai a lot recently but him and chris have been talking over the phone and getting a lot closer recently.
Before my accident kai and chris were basically my favourite people. Chris was my favourite friend and kai was my favourite coworker. I used to speak to kai outside of work too. But i havent been as close recently. Hes been busy covering my shifts while i get better, he still wanted me to have money even if i wasnt working so he worked twice as hard, and ive been busy getting better. Im going back to work next week so ill get to have a well needed catch up one on one with him then. And when i say im excited i am truly excited.
Matt has gone to pick up sasha and kai while nick chris and i are in the kitchen talking about what we think will happen in the movie. Well nick and chris are. Im thinking. Thinking about kai. I missed him so much. Yeah i saw him once or twice but i didnt really get a chance to actually speak to him. Im kind of nervous.
We arranged seats in a groupchat last night. Which is when the plan to go out was made. Chris and i planned to go to our spot after the movies because he wanted to talk to me without being interrupted. Weirdo.
"Harps are you alright?" I hear nick say. Which pulled me away from my thoughts.
"Yeah" i say in almost a whisper.
"Dont lie" chris says. I look over to him with a confused look.
"What?" I say
"Youve been zoned out for the past like twenty minutes" chris says
"TWENTY??" Nick yells. Causing chris to cover his ears.
"Yeah didnt you notice" he says.
"Why didnt you say anything sooner?" Nick asks
"I didnt want to disturb her she was lost in thought" i hear him say before i hear the front door open.
"Are we ready to go?" Matt says not even fully entering the house just staying at the door.
"Yeah" i say getting off my chair before i get stopped. A hand pulls at my wrist.
"We'll be out in literally two minutes matt i just need to get something" chris says as nick leaves out of the front door.
"Be quick" matt says before he leaves and closes the front door.
"Come on" chris drags me up the stairs. "So clumsy girl which hoodie do you want to wear today"
He has called me clumsy girl all day and all last night since i fell down the stairs while chasing him and again when i went to get a glass of water.
"I dont want any im fine" i say
"Okay well which one is your favourite?" he asks
"Maybe this one" i pick out a black lyrical lemonade hoodie. One which he gatekeeps. For the years that we have been friends he has loved this hoodie but he would never let anyone wear it. Not even matt and nick. I looked over at him with a smirk. He shrugs and picks up the hoodie.
"Okay. Well then lets go" he says. I stand there in shock and he drags me out of his room. But i fall over a pair of shoes. "Fucks sake H look where youre going" he says
"Put your fucking shoes away" i retaliate
"Dont fucking fall over them. You couldve easily avoided that. I did"
"Ooo big chris sturniolo avoided shoes bow down everyone" i say before pushing past him. Im not even angry at him. Im angry at the fact i cant stand on my own two fucking feet. Like why dont they work properly.
As im walking towards the stairs i notice another pair of shoes. If you fall now then you might as well book a room at the mental hospital like its a hotel because i will actually go insane. As i think this to myself i take a step over the shoes and down the first step of the stairs. I sigh thinking i didnt fall until i forget about my other foot. I began to bring it to take the next step. Bring the shoes with me making me trip. And fall. All the way to the bottom.
"FOR FUCK SAKE CHRISTOPHER" i scream.
"I told you, you are clumsy" he says with a little laugh. He helps me up and puts his arm around me. I shove his arm off me and leave the house. I hear him laugh as he follows me out.
"What took you two so long?" Matt complains.
"I fucking hate your brother" i say "nick sit in the back with me" as i was about to open the door to the car a gust of cold wind hits my arms.
I look over to chris who is holding the hoodie he had for me. He had the biggest smirk across his face. I walk over to him and snatch the hoodie out of his hands. I get into the back of the car and put the hoodie on. Nick sits next to me and chris sits in the middle with kai.
"Hey harps long time no see" kai says turning around to me.
"Hey kai! Sorry you just had to see that by the way your friend is a fucking bitch" i say side eying chris.
"Um how am i the bitch" he argues.
"You just are look at yourself" i say back
"Is this for real or are you two just messing around because i cannot go back to this i thought we moved on" nick says looking up from his phone.
"Im with nick on this one" matt says not taking his eyes off the road.
"This bitch is just ugh i do not like you one bit" i say crossing my arms and slouching back into my chair.
"Do you want me to tell them what happened?" He says
"If you do i will literally tear this hoodie to shreds" i say making eye contact with him.
"I guess it will remain a mystery to them then"
"Good decision" i narrow my eyes at him and we carry on the drive in silence. Comfortable silence.
Whenever we plan to go to the movies, aka when matt is coming with so he can drive us there, we go to the movies in the next town over. Its got a lot more slushie options and more candies and its just better overall. Its like $1.30 more expensive but its fine because its worth it. Usually its just matt nick chris and i but itll be better with a whole group. The next town is about a 30 minute drive since we live in the opposite end of this town. But the cinema is on the furthest side which takes about 20 minutes from the time you enter the town to get to. So its a 50 minute drive give or take a few.
