"You hate me?" ~ chris sturniolo

Chapter 23

*harpers pov*

Once we got to the store matt and i went straight for the chocolate while nick and chris went for the candy. I chose my chocolate and headed for the drinks while matt was still choosing. I picked out a drink pepper and root beer for matt and i.

Once matt had chosen for him and his brothers he came over and picked up another dr pepper and a pepsi. Then we headed over to the candy aisle.

When we got there we saw nick and chris with a basket full of candy. I see all of their favourites and a few of our shared favourites. But as I reached for my favourite candy my hand was swatted away.

"Heyy i want the clusters" i say turning to the person responsible for swatting my hand.

"I got you a pack" chris says as i turn to him. He points to the basket and i look over.

"Theres only one pack dont you like them too" i ask going to reach for more.

"You cant even finish a pack youself so i dont see the point in getting a second one. We can share" she swats my hand again. "I also got you those and im looking for the other ones that you love" he points at a pack in the basket and starts looking at the shelf again.

"What about those things? Umm..." i say looking over at him.

"What things?" He replies.

"Remember last time we went the cinema and it was the only candy you bought. They were sooooo goooodd" i answer him closing my eyes to relive the moment of eating the candy.

"Yeah i got those. I got two packs because i know you love them" he replies not even taking his eyes off of the shelves.

"Thank you! Thank you!" I say jumping up and down.

He found the candy he was looking for he put it into the basket and we headed towards the cashier. Nick and matt walked infront discussing how they think the movie is going to go, which left chris and i walking behind.

"Chris?" I spoke up after we walked for two minutes in silence. He hummed to let me know he was listening. "Why are you being nice now?"

"Stop stop" he stops me from walking and turns me towards him. "What do you mean?"

"Like this morning you were being all bitchy while you were on your phone but then now your being nice and getting all my favourite things and actually tolerating me. You also told me you didnt care then told me that you wanted me to talk to somebody. I dont get why you keep changing up. I didnt say anything earlier because matt doesnt want anything to ruin today" i say releasing a breath that i didnt know i was holding.

"Okay well how about this: just while we are out today we can be friends again then once we get back i will explain everything to you and we can go from there. Is that okay?" He says not breaking the eye contact that we are now holding.

"I guess but i have to talk to nick first. But sure we can be friends just for today. I also have something to tell you" i say walking in the direction where matt and nick were getting served by the cashier.

"Is it about why you lied?" He nudged my side grinning.

"Mayybeee" i drag out my words. Then i make my way over to the boys who were now paying.

We leave the store and head for the movies. Matt went to the front of the movies to buy tickets and chris nick and i went to buy some extra drinks, and a few more snacks. If you couldnt tell we love to eat while watching a movie. We show the guy our tickets and we head into the screen room. We check our tickets which are needed as it is a very popular movie so the room is pretty full.
