Spark

After everything I've been through

After the fire has long been put out

I have an ember

Tiny

Smoldering

Ready to burn

I cup it

I hold it

I squeeze it for warmth

Its the only reason to hang on

As I wake

I cling to it in my hands as it sizzles my skin

I can smell the burning

I hide my spark from heavy winds

I hide it from those that wish to blow it out

Well no more

No more will I give you my heart while my spark is barely keeping it beating

No more well I let your false wind and dirt suffocate my fire.

I will harness the ember

I will protect this ember

And when it is time

The fire that will rage in me will be nothing you have seen in this world

I will rise from all the dirt and ash you buried me with

I will burn hotter and brighter than you have ever seen

I will truly be unstoppable

I will continue to guard this ember

Because you know not what you messed with

And you know not what you have awakened.

I will slay no beasts

I will merely befriend them

And then what are you to do

Cower while I walk with creatures from your dreams and nightmares

In bright colors

And shades of dark

My flames will be colors you've never seen.

Colors you wish to be

I will continue to burn my flesh

I will continue to hold this ember like the universe holds me.

All knowing that we have eachother

Faith like mountains

Love like earths waters

hearts like the galaxy
