Dracon

Hero's slay the dragons

When you venture up

You must slay the dragon

But why

I never could understand

Why slaying a beautiful creature

Is the right way

How can you ask me to walk up

face to face

With a creature

So dignified

So beautiful

So wise

So emotional

So divine

And ask me

To slay it

I'd rather sit with it

Hear its story

Listen to its qualms

Hear its wisdom

Eat a meal with it

Maybe sing a song or two

And if I become its dinner than so be it

But maybe just maybe

it'll grant me a wish or two before it does.

Is it to much to ask,

Show me the sky's in which you soar

Take me to far away lands

Show me how small we really are

Let me feel the warmth of the sun against your scales

And maybe if your so kind

Let me nap with you under the sun

Maybe just maybe

Ill feel peaceful enough

Safe enough

That i'll sleep with ease

I'll sleep feeling protected even if it's only for the day.
