I don't agree with covering my face
I agree with covering my face
Everytime I see it
I hate it
I love it
I love that I have natural features
That people
Envy
Love
Want
Find beautiful
Yet when I see
I don't find it that way
But I know that whether you see my face
Or don't see my face
I'll haunt your waking mind
I'll haunt you unconscious mind
You'll find yourself begging for forgiveness
You'll find yourself pleading ignorance
You'll find yourself trying to make up for the lost
My words will serenade your soul in ways you've never expected.
If I can not beg for forgiveness
If I can not plead ignorance
If I can not undo what has been done
Then hopefully I can lead the way
To show you
Forgiving yourself is a starting point
To loving yourself
To changing for the better
To make a difference in the world
So I wish to hid my face
And I know
In doing so I give no justice.
In doing so I give no hope
In doing so I'm just cowering
And I refuse to fear
