3rd Person Point of View~
The odor of gunpowder and blood. The ammunition fumes had polluted the air. A girl, about 13 or 14 years old, sat on the floor, bloodied and holding a pistol in her hand. Her face was emotionless. There were big gashes all over her body and a bullet wound in her abdomen, but the blood made it difficult to pinpoint where her wounds were.
The girl slowly rose up and exited the old, abandoned warehouse. The girl picked up a can of gasoline while observing the crime scene. She struck a match after making sure all of the evidence was drenched in the flammable substance.
Y/N's Point of View~
This is not the finest memory to have while doing the dishes. I took a peek at my watch. '1:50...I better get going.' With that thought in mind, I swiftly grabbed my cloak to cover my wings. The trip to elementary school was not too long, but I disliked strolling near the high school. When I saw the school, I looked down at my watch. It's only been 15 minutes. While waiting for school to end, I rolled my eyes at how slowly time passed.
I used my downtime to look around and examine my environment. I gazed at the boy—who was about 10 years old at most—mugging an adult. I chuckled quietly before whispering, "The psychos just keep getting younger." I shake my head and shift my focus elsewhere. A lady led a man into a dark alley, and as soon as they were out of sight, gunfire was heard. "I saw that one's coming..." I said quietly to myself.
I was about to look at my watch again when I heard the bell. Little kids dashed out to wherever they wanted not even a second after they were free from their version of prison. I honestly couldn't give a damn about them. I soon noticed Carson tugging Emily, who was desperate to chat with her close friends. Carson tried hard, but Emily's positive spirit appeared to outweigh his strength. I sighed gently as I approached the struggling child. "You can talk to your friends tomorrow, Emily. We need to get home," I whispered quietly, tugging both her and Carson in my direction, and headed to our house.
"But Y/N!" Emily whined, grabbing my hand. Carson's grasp on my right hand tightened, and I peered down at him, only to see him cuddle closer to my side, almost as if he was trying to hide. I looked up...high school had ended, and teenagers were all gathered at the entrance.
I heard a boy shout as we passed by. "HEY! Why is that kid so pale? Does he have a disease or something?!!" Carson snuggled closer to my side. Any normal mother or older sister would advise them to ignore the bully...but I'm not normal. I'm what you'd call "above average." I looked down at Carson, then up at the kid who said it. My calm and sweet demeanor quickly changed into a calm and intimidating demeanor.
"Stay here," I said quietly to Emily and Carson. I hurried up the stairs to see the immature guy face-to-face. "Are you naturally this much of a pain, or do you actually try?" I inquired, my gaze fixed on the teenager who appeared to have forgotten how to speak. "You smell like drama and a headache, don't ever say some shit like that to anyone ever again, do you fucking understand?" I rolled my eyes when I didn't receive a response. Since I didn't get a response, I assumed it was a yes. "A piece of advice, don't bark if you can't bite," I stated before turning on my heel, and marched back to the two siblings.
