Y/N's Point of View~

"Get out of my way," I spoke menacingly, my wings rising as I glared at the new person...I looked them up and down before recognizing him. I've read his profile. "Why are you even here? Aren't you a king or something?"

The man chuckled, unfazed by my threatening demeanor. "Yes, I am a king, but even kings need to take care of business sometimes," he replied with a smirk.

I glanced behind him to see three other people. They all seemed to be waiting for his lead, which made me wonder what kind of business they were here for. As the king stepped forward, I stayed still, not even moving an inch. "Who are your friends?" I said, staring the four down.

The king gestured to the three individuals behind him, introducing them one by one. "This is Shuri, Erik, and Okoye. And I'm—"

I stopped him before he could finish. "Yes, King T'challa. I've read your profile. What exactly are you here for?"

King T'challa looked at me with a knowing smile, clearly impressed by my directness. "We are here to discuss a potential alliance," he replied confidently. I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the proposition and eager to hear more about their intentions.

"An alliance? With who?" I spoke gently to the king.

King T'challa's smile widened as he leaned in slightly, his eyes glinting with anticipation. "With you, of course," he said smoothly. My curiosity was piqued, ready to listen to what the king had to offer. "I believe our two nations could benefit greatly from working together," King T'challa continued, his voice resonating with sincerity. I nodded, impressed by his vision and open to exploring the possibilities of this potential alliance.

"Yes...but I'm no queen, nor do I rule this nation. You'll need to speak to Fury." I spoke up politely. King T'challa chuckled softly, acknowledging my point. "I will make sure to have a word with Fury then," he replied, his smile never faltering.

I gave a curt nod before trying to leave, but he stopped me again. "Before you go, may I ask for your name? I would like to remember the one who will help forge this new partnership," King T'challa requested warmly. I smiled, feeling a sense of respect and admiration for his thoughtful gesture.

"Y/N, Your Majesty," I spoke softly, my wings dropping their defense slightly...I knew not to bow. King T'challa's eyes sparkled with appreciation as he repeated my name, committing it to memory. "Y/N, it is a pleasure to meet you. I look forward to our future collaborations," he said graciously, sealing our interaction with a nod of respect.

I quickly left the tower and flew to Sarah.

Time Skip-

"Why do you always side with them?" I spoke up, sitting in the chair as I glared at Sarah. I could feel the tension rising between us as I awaited her response. Sarah's expression remained stoic, her eyes avoiding mine as she carefully chose her words.

Finally, she let out a sigh and said, "I understand why you feel that way, but I have my reasons for supporting them." I could sense that there was more to her decision than she was letting on, but I knew pushing further would only escalate the situation.

"You know what...let's just forget this ever happened. We clearly have different perspectives on this issue, and that's okay. Let's agree to disagree and move on." I said, trying to diffuse the tension between us before it escalated any further. Sarah nodded in agreement, and we both silently decided to change the subject and move past our disagreement.

"Hey...Y/N?"

I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and dropped the subject for good, hoping that we could move past this disagreement. "Yes, Sarah?"

"Re-remember that boy...that I liked..." I nodded, remembering the crush she had mentioned before.

"What about him?" I asked, curious about where this conversation was headed.

Sarah hesitated before finally admitting, "He...He uh...dumped me. Again..."

I could see the hurt in her eyes as she spoke, and I knew that this was the real reason behind her support. "I'm sorry, Sarah. That must be tough," I said softly, I didn't know what to say. She already knew my viewpoint on him...and she knew how manipulative he was, as Jade and I told her every time.

Sarah looked down at her hands, fidgeting with her fingers nervously. "I just can't seem to let go," she confessed, tears welling up in her eyes. My heart ached for her as I realized the depth of her feelings for this boy. "He's the problem...rig-right?"

I hesitated, knowing that being too blunt might push her away. "Sarah, sometimes the hardest thing to do is to walk away from someone who isn't good for you," I finally said gently, hoping she would understand. "I'm sorry to say, Sarah...but the problem was also you....at least a little bit."

Sarah's eyes widened in shock, a mixture of hurt and realization crossing her face. "Me?" she whispered, her voice barely audible. I nodded slowly, hoping she would be able to see the truth in my words and find the strength to move on from a toxic relationship.

"Yes. Sarah...you went out of your way to make excuses for his bad behavior. You accepted his obvious lies, and you gave him another chance, again and again. Sarah...you sold yourself short, you didn't believe you deserved better, and you stayed for too long. You learned the hard way...but you learned. Now it's time to take that lesson and use it to empower yourself to seek out the love and respect you truly deserve." I finished, silently hoping I wasn't too harsh on her.

I watched Sarah for a moment before bringing her in for a hug, wrapping my warm, soft wings around her. As she hugged me back, I could feel the weight of her burdens slowly lifting off her shoulders. It was a moment of catharsis, a moment of realization that she was finally ready to move forward and prioritize her own well-being.

"Y/N?" Sarah spoke again, her voice barely above a whisper. "Do you have a bag I can borrow that goes with this outfit?" She showed me a picture of an outfit she bought online.

"Sarah...the only bags I have are the ones under my eyes, and they're specifically designed to carry the burden of being dragged back into assassination and hero work, which I like to call...Nick Fury not able to handle his own shi—" I spoke with a smirk before Sarah stopped me.

"Literally all you had to say was no."

We sat in comfortable silence for almost an hour. The only sound was her typing away on her keyboard. "Hey, Y/N? Where's that mask you always wear?"

I felt around my head before remembering, "Fuck...."
