"There's a star man waiting in the sky."
𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐊 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐓, with music playing softly in the background and Colette's soft snores echoing throughout. Bradley was preoccupied with driving Colette home safely. His eyes were drawn to where she was sleeping. He smiled slightly at the sight; she was peaceful when she was sleeping, carefree. The situation seemed all too familiar.

The loud sounds of music emitted from the Hard Deck as the doors opened. The bar was filled to its brim with people who had dropped into town, locals and aviators currently based at Top Gun. Colette had been drinking, it was her birthday. Her birthday was the one day of the year she would let loose and drink a little too much.
Nat had tried her best to keep her restricted and out of trouble, but she ultimately failed. Nat being the only person known to Colette at the bar, caused some complications. From what Nat had counted, three guys had already tried to take Colette home or buy her another drink. Amongst the chaos Nat had resorted to calling Bradley.
Bradley had been asleep when he received the desperate phone call from Nat. He was worried for what would happen if Colette continued to spend any more time in the bar already intoxicated enough. He made his way over to the bar, shaking the sleep from his body. The neon lights and loud sound of music directed him towards the entry doors.
As he entered the wave of strong-smelling alcohol flooded his nostrils. Nat sat in a corner waving Bradley over. Colette sat against a wall barley able to keep her eyes from closing. Bradley slightly chuckled at the looks of the woman. The Colette he knew, never really drank much at all.
Bradley tried unsuccessfully to encourage the woman to stand up, so he carried her outside the bar bridal style. Bradley could feel Colette's breathing against his chest because she had fallen asleep. Nat followed the man, grateful for his presence.
"Thank you very much, Bradley." I was becoming concerned about her." Nat explained as he turned to face the woman in his arms. "No worries Nat, I'll make sure she gets home safely," Bradley said before heading towards his Bronco.
Bradley opened the door without upsetting the woman in his arms. He seated her in the passenger seat, kissing her on the cheek as he clicked her seatbelt into place. Colette awoke slightly slurring her thank-you remarks. Bradley grinned at her expression; she was struggling to stay up.
The soothing sounds of Colette snoring filled the truck as he pulled out into the road. He smiled as he looked at her. When they got to her house, he carried her to her bed and placed some pain relievers and a bottle of Gatorade on her bedside table. He kissed her on her cheek before leaving the comfort of her home.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 seemed to be replaying itself, except this time Colette was drunk on tears rather than wine. He grinned slightly as he approached Colette's beachfront home. He slowed the Bronco and sat in his seat, peering out at the water. The light was starting to wane as it exited the sky.
