Chapter 5

Luke's POV

*one week later*

To:Jess
Are you with Kaitlin? X

From:Jess
Yeah, and Talia x

To:Kait
Baby? Can you come and get me? Xxxx

From:Kait
What? From where? You're in America! Xxxx

To:Kait
I came home! I'm not missing my daughters birthday and I missed you too much. I'm at the airport, please? Xxxx

From:Kait
I'm coming now, stay there xxxx

I took a seat on a bench outside of the airport and pushed my suitcase back and forth on its wheels. I tapped my foot impatiently and pushed my black sunglasses further up the bridge of my nose.

"For fuck sake, Hemmings" I looked up and rushed towards my wife and engulfed her into a tight hug. I lifted her up slightly and I inhaled her familiar scent.

"Ive missed you baby" I whispered and placed my lips against hers which I haven't been able to do for so long.

"Where's Lily?"

"She's with Jess and Talia, at home" I nodded and dragged my suitcases towards her car before getting in and we began the journey back home.

My fingers intertwined with hers and I yawned and rested my head against the window and watched the world go by behind my sunglasses that I didn't want to take off.

"So you just- ditched your band?" Talia asked and I nodded not wanting to ruin the surprise for the others.

Truthfully, we were on a break from tour. We had one month left after this two week long break. The boys had flown over with me but got a cab to take them home as they knew that none of the girls would be home since Emily worked a lot.

Emily's home :D I'm hiding in our room and I'm going to jump out and scare her!

To:Mike
No! She will throw something at you because she will think you're a murderer!!!

Talia has just left our house now, good luck x

Ash had planned to propose to Talia when she walked into the bedroom. He said he was going to not leave any clues and wait until she comes upstairs into the bedroom where he has candles, rose petals and he is preparing to ask her to marry him.

"What time is it?" Kaitlin yawned as she mimicked Lily's actions.

"Uh- shit its 8:45! I have to go. There will be traffic! I'm sorry guys, I'll see you soon. Bye Luke. Bye Kait, Bye Lily" Jess gave us individual hugs and she walked out of the house and I watched her get into her car.

I texted Cal quickly to warn him and also mentioned about the potential traffic delay.

My arms wrapped around Lily's sleeping figure and I carried her upstairs and made sure not to make any sound that will wake her up. I placed her inside her cot gently and pressed a kiss to her forehead before leaving the room.

"So, you have a month left after this break why couldn't you wait?" Kaitlin asked.

"I missed you! What do you expect me to do?" I buried my head into her neck and held her body tightly. Her lips attached to mine quickly and the kiss soon deepened.
