Maya's POV:
-It can be anything? - I asked, squinting my eyes as my thoughts went to very tempting possibilities.
-Anything reasonable, the other person can still say no if it's something that steps out of their line. - She replied. - We won't necessarily have to do this every time, draw something every time we meet, but I think it could be fun.
-Oh, it will definitely be fun! - I smiled back at her.
-I'm counting on it. - She gave me a wink. - Also, it might be something we don't necessarily have to do right now, but in the near future maybe?
-Okay, I can think of a few things. - I had at least six things to write on those papers already. - I can't wait for you to come back, Carina!
-Me too, bambina. - She smiled.
-Can I call you tomorrow?
-You can call me anytime and talk about anything you want. - She was quick to answer, with a loving smile on her lips, letting me warm up in those kind eyes.
......
My legs were bouncing up and down as I watched each long ticking of the clock above my office door. I practically begged for the minutes to pass so that I could change and go to Carina's - she had arrived from her trip in the early hours of the morning, letting me know that her flight had been smooth and that she was waiting for me at her place to have dinner with her that night - but apparently the universe was making a point of dragging out every second so that I could exercise my patience a little more.
I would not be working for two days, Carina would have tomorrow off, and she had not been shy in asking me to bring a change of clothes for the next day, making more than clear her intention to make me sleep at her place that night - "make me" wasn't exactly the case because I highly doubted that I would choose to leave after sharing a bed with Carina in the most pleasurable of ways.
The last twenty minutes were pure torture and I was more than happy that none of my firefighters came to my office at the end of that shift. I changed clothes - this time opting to stick to my usual style, but insisting on lingerie pieces that although uncomfortable made me feel good when Carina was staring at them on my body - and almost ran towards my car after saying goodbye to my friends with a shout over my shoulder.
When I parked the car in the open-air garage in front of Carina's house, I jumped out pulling my backpack onto one of my shoulders and almost ran towards her door. My knocks against the wood were quick and eager and when I heard a "one second" shout coming from inside the house, my heart soared in my chest.
-Ciao! - The door opened quickly and Carina smiled openly at me before launching herself against my body so quickly and with such force that I had to take a step back due to the impact, but my arms caught her with no trouble, holding her body pressed against mine and her almost childish attitude made me laugh openly. At the same time my heart was softening more and more for the woman. I was falling hard for Carina.
-Hey, Car! - The nickname came out without any realization on my part, but when I felt her arms wrapping tighter around my neck, I knew she had appreciated the affectionate gesture. - Did you get some rest?
-Don't let go yet! -She said when I made an attempt to put her down and break the hug, and I was forced to let out another giggle as I exaggeratedly arched my back, lifting her even higher and tightening my arms around her waist. - I missed you, bambina.
-I missed you too. - It was strange to confess my feelings to her, but at the same time it was good to be honest, to let my words come out of my mouth without going through at least three or four filters in my thoughts.
