You where friends with the adorable Makoto Tachibana, you've loved him since third grade. You where now in 9th grade
"we're moving" said your mom suddenly during dinner. Your eyes widend in shock "what?! Why?!" you said
"your father is getting transfered" she said and you frowned. You never liked your mom's new husband and now he was making you move away from the people you love "I still haven't told Makoto that I like him" you thought to yourself
You where walking home when you saw Makoto and ran over to him "Mako-Chan!" you called out and he stopped and looked back
He smiled and you walked beside him "hi (N/N)-Chan" he said happily
"let's go to the park" you said and he nodded "sure! But we can't stay too late, it's dangerous" he said and you giggled
"you worry too much!" you said and he sighed. "I'm just being careful" he said
Once you aarrived at the park you went on the swing and sat down, Makoto sat beside you
"Makoto" you said in a serious tone "yeah?" he responded "I'm moving" you said and he became silent
"why?" he asked sadly and you felt a pain in your chest "my mom's husband is getting transfered" you said coldly
You looked at Makoto and saw him crying, you started to cry too and you hugged him tightly
"Makoto I like you, I really do! I don't want to go" you said as you cried
"me too, I like you" he said
You let go of him and he held out his pinky "Marry me when you get back, I promise that I'll love you forever. Promise that you'll do the same?" he said and you nodded and wiped your tears

End of flashback
It's been a few years since then and you where now 18 years old. You came back to Japan to fulfil the promise you and Makoto had made when you where younger
For these past years all you would think about was Makoto and you'd always fantsize about what you would say when you got back and how you would confess to him
Today was finally the day and you where so excited. You walked up the street to Makoto's house
You saw him and your face lit up
"Ma-" you stopped midsentence when you saw him holding hands with a girl
They giggled and walked passed you without a word and your heart sank. He didn't even recognize you
Tears formed in the corners of your eyes and you began to cry
He moved on
