Promise (Makoto x Reader) part 2

He didn't even recognize you. That just killed your heart, I mean you did everything you could to come back to Japan and he forgot you? How could he? What about the promise? What happened?

When you moved your mother left with some other man, leaving you with her ex husband. He took his anger out on you and would beat you until you couldn't move anymore. The only sign of hope you had was that Makoto was waiting for you back Home.. Back in Japan. Finally when he went to get cigarettes you escaped

You wiped your tears and ran up to them "Mako-Chan!" you called out and they stopped walking and turned to you

"it's me! (Y/N)" you said and his face lit up "(Y/N)? Oh my god! It's really you!" he said in shock

"we should catch up. I'll talk to you later (random name)" he said to the girl and gave her a kiss

You walked to the park and sat on the same swings from the past, "do you remember our promise?" you asled and he nodded "I'll tell you something..." he said and you nodded

"after you left I was heartbroken I mean I loved you a lot... I would cry myself to sleep I stopped going to practice, I shut everyone out. It hurt a lot (Y/N), I mean. what if you never came back? What if you found someone else?"

"but I didn't" you said "yeah... But after some time I gave up... And met (random name) the love of my life. I'm so glad she saved me from that hell... Look, I moved on and you should too" he said and patted your shoulder

"well I gotta go. Be careful okay?" he said and left

** time skip**

It's been a few weeks since that incident and you didn't take it very well, you started drinking away your problems

You woke up to a massive headache "fuck I feel horrible" you groaned as you got up from the floor of your old house, it was empty so you've been staying there and it reminded you of Makoto which made your heart hurt, which lead you to drinking the pain away

You haven't eaten in weeks, you looked in the mirror, you've gotten paler and thiner. You had dark circles under your eyes, tear stained cheeks, overall not the best you've looked

You stood up and went to the fridge for another drink only to find it empty "shit" you mumbled

You walked back to where you were laying on the floor and started to cry "shit..."

"what was the point of me going through all that!!" you shouted

You started to giggle "haha! I can't believe I thought he'd wait for me... Hahaha!~" you rolled around and saw a beer bottle

"yes!" you cheered. You crawled over to it and held it in the air "to us!" you yelled and took a swig

The tingly feeling returned to you as you drained the bottle of it's liquid and you let the bitter but somehow sweet flavour dance throughout your system

You stood up and went upstairs and opened the window, the bright sunlight hitting you in the face

You smiled and  took a deep breath... Then jumped

Sometimes things don't go the way you want them to... You give someone your everything and it's never enough... They continue to use us, hurt us until we have nothing left... They say "I love you" but then leave you at the drop of a hat... They say "just one more chance" but then do it all over again...Can we really live like this? What is love really? How much are we willing to suffer for someone?
