Blake had been sent to the car with Glenn and the sword lady who's name is apparently Michonne. She had been unsure at first and Glenn had fought the idea of Maggie going back without him but at the end of the day Blake wasn't sure she could climb back over the wall into Woodbury much less fight her way through so she let Michonne lead her and Glenn through the woods.
They had been sitting out on the road for a while, the sun having come up sometime ago. Glenn had helped her zip her hoodie up at some point but her head was fuzzy and her body ached and stung from all the cuts that littered her arm and torso. Her face ached too, she was sure the left side of her face was all swollen from the tightness she felt in her skin.
Blake had her eyes closed as she leaned up against the car from where she sat when she heard a voice call out to them. "Glenn!" It was obviously Rick's gruff voice calling out from the woods and Glenn was on his feet in an instant. Blake was not far behind as they rushed into the woods, Glenn calling out back to Rick. They got about ten yards into the woods when Blake spotted them.
"Oh, thank God." Glenn said as he spotted them too, Maggie following right behind Rick. Blake let out a breath when she spotted her father but then immediately tensed seeing who followed him.
"Now we got a problem here. I need you to back up." Rick said, trying to hold up a placating hand to them. When Michonne and Glenn caught sight of Merle trailing behind her dad with his stupid smirk they were both drawing their weapons. Michonne drew her sword and Glenn raised his gun.
"What the hell is he doing here?" Glenn growled out.
"Hey, hey, hey! Hey, put it down! Whoa, whoa, whoa! Put it down!" Rick tried stopping Michonne as she tried to rush Merle. Her dad stepped in front of Merle who was carrying what looked like Blake's crossbow on his back.
"He tried to kill me!" Michonne yelled, sword pointed at her uncle.
"If it wasn't for him-" Glenn tried but her dad cut him off.
"He helped us get out of there." Her dad defended and Blake just watched from a few steps away. Her heart raced at the sight of Merle, with him back her dad was bound to follow his every word again. They would be losing so much with him back.
"Yeah, right after he beat the shit out of you." Rick shot back as he still had his gun up defending Merle from Michonne.
"Hey, we both took our licks, man." Merle interjected and Blake scoffed, finally busting forward and towards her uncle who eyed her.
"Give me my bow back." She told him holding her hand out, Merle eyed her not moving but a look from her dad had him handing the bow back. That was all she needed before punching him straight in the nose. "You fucking deserved that." She spat out as he stumbled back into the tree behind him.
"Jackass," her dad muttered as Blake backed up past him so she was at Glenn's side again.
"Hey, shut up." Merle shot back.
"Enough!" Rick yelled looking back at Merle giving Michonne the opportunity to stalk forward towards him.
"Hey, hey, relax!" Rick told her once again, turning his attention to the woman. "Put that down now!"
"Get that thing out of my face!" Her dad yelled, swinging at the gun Glenn had pointed at his head. Blake was once again sick and tired of the yelling and arguing that was now taking place in the woods of all places. She just can't escape it.
"Man, look like you've gone native, brother." Merle told him after letting out a laugh.
"No more than you hanging out with that psycho back there." Her dad shot back.
