The next day was spent preparing for the Governor's next move. They had really no clue as to what the man would do or when, it had everyone on edge. Rick was off on his own doing lord knows what while everyone else gathered in the common room trying to figure out how they were going to defend the place.
"Now you said you found Tyreese's group here?" Glenn asked Carl as he drew out an outline of the prison in chalk on the floor.
"Yeah," Carl answered with a nod.
"We secured this," Glenn said with a shake of his head.
"He thought he came through here," Carl told them pointing to another spot on the front of the building.
"Means there's another breach, we just have to find it." Blake chimed in from where she leaned up against the wall next to Beth.
"Okay. Then the whole front of the prison is unsecure. If walkers just strolled in, then it's gonna be cake for a group of armed men." Glenn agreed looking at Blake who nodded her head.
"We can figure out how to defend and shut them out if we find all the breaches. They might get lost down there too, it is a maze, could set traps and stuff." Blake suggested with a shrug. If they could secure the outside and keep them out, they could make them regret coming in.
"Why are we even so sure he's going to attack? Maybe you scared him off." Beth tried as she hung to Blake's arm glancing over at Michonne.
"He had fish tanks full of heads. Walkers and humans. Trophies. He's coming," Michonne answered ominously.
"We should hit him now." Glenn suggested and Blake furrowed her eyebrows at him. That was a dumb and rushed idea.
"What?" Beth asked looking at Blake who just shook her head not liking the idea either.
"He won't be expecting it. We'll sneak back in and put a bullet in his head." Glenn said.
"We're not assassins," Carol interjected.
"You know where his apartment is. You and I could end this tonight." Glenn argued looking at Michonne who was watching him with narrowed eyes.
"No, we barely got out of there last time and we had the upper hand of actual surprise. And not all of us made it out. They will be way more prepared, blood thirsty if anything. We can't risk each other, not for revenge." Blake told him, Glenn was eyeing her and Beth was clinging to her arm but nobody said a word to counter her. "Just because Rick is going off the deep end doesn't mean we all need to jump with him. We survive together, however that is. I won't lose anyone else in this damn prison." Hershel looked at her with a proud glint in his eye.
"I'll do it myself." Glenn said looking at Michonne who nodded to him to signal she was in and Blake clenched her jaw.
"Blake is right, he didn't know you were coming last time and look what happened. You were almost killed. Blake was tortured. Daryl was captured. And you and Maggie were almost executed." Hershel cut in, stopping Glenn from leaving the common area.
"You can't stop me," Glenn spat out.
"I sure as shit can, even beat to shit and cut to pieces. I won't let you kill yourself over a revenge mission. What he did was fucked but don't let him take you out Glenn, we need you here. Even if you kill him the rest of that town will still be looking for revenge and you would have added fuel to their fire." Blake argued, stepping up to stand behind Hershel. Glenn glared at her still not seeming to give in and Blake was ready to throw him in a cell if it meant he would stay here.
"Rick would never allow this," Hershel added with a shake of his head.
"You really think he's in any position to make that choice?" Glenn fired back.
