Blake stared, arms crossed across her chest at the burned and smoking bodies. Tyreese had gathered her dad, Carol, Rick and herself a few minutes ago raving on about a murderer and burnt bodies. They had been concerned for his well being up until he showed them the charred remains of Karen and David. The smell of burnt flesh burned her nostrils as she took in the scene.
Tyreese had taken them through the tombs and out to a back area blocked in by cement walls on all sides. A blood trail led them through the tombs where the bodies had been dragged. Obviously it was one of their own, one who knew Karen and David had been in the tombs and how to navigate them as well as exactly where to drag the bodies.
"You found them like this?" Rick asked as they all stared at the seething Tyreese. Blake could almost see him shaking in anger as he looked at the bodies.
"I came to see Karen... and I saw the blood on the floor. Then I smelled them," he explained. "Somebody dragged them out here and set them on fire. They killed them and set them on fire!" He started yelling, Blake clenched her jaw tight as she watched the man closely. He seemed ready to snap at any given moment and the last thing she wanted was to be on the receiving end of that.
"You're a cop," he said after a pause turning to Rick who backed away as Tyreese tried to get in his face. "You find out who did this and you bring 'em to me. You understand? You bring 'em to me." Her dad had moved behind the man and Blake stepped up to his side just in case they needed to help keep him off of Rick. Rick didn't answer, he just took a deep breath in obviously not wanting to set the man off with the wrong answer.
"We'll find out who..." Her dad tried placing a hand on Tyreese's shoulder but the man just shrugged him off, throwing an arm back forcing them to back off a bit.
"I need to say it again?" Tyreese asked, still in Rick's face.
"No. No," Rick told him, shaking his head. "I know what you're feeling. I've been there. You saw me there. It's dangerous."
"Karen didn't deserve this," Tyreese interjected.
"No," Rick tried.
"David didn't deserve it. Nobody does."
"No one is saying they did-" Blake tried placing a comforting hand on the man but that just pulled his attention to her. He stepped up in her face but Blake wasn't backing down.
"Well no one is doing nothing!" Tyreese exclaimed.
"All right, man, let's..." Her dad said pulling on Tyreese's shoulder to get him to back off but the man just spun and grabbed him by the collar.
"Man, I ain't going nowhere till I find out who did this!" Tyreese yelled as he pushed her dad back into the wall behind him. Blake stepped forward eyes wide ready to pull the big man from off of her father but he put an arm out to stop them and they locked eyes. He gave her a nod saying he could handle it so Blake stopped. She kept ready though watching the scene closely so she could step in if necessary.
"We're on the same side, man." Her dad told him quietly, Tyreese was huffing out angry breaths as he held her father against the wall.
"Hey, look, I know what you're going through. We've all lost someone. We know what you're going through right now, but you've got to calm down." Rick ordered, voice low like he was talking to some cornered animal. He put a hand on Tyreese's back and the man spun immediately releasing his hold on her father as he now grabbed Rick. Blake backpedaled so she was out of the way as Tyreese threw Rick off of him.
"You need to step the hell back!" Tyreese yelled at him, Blake was a little appalled at the man's behavior. They were only trying to help and having him freak out like this was just wasting time that they could be spending actually looking for who was responsible for this.
