Weird House and Weird Dragon

After an incredibly difficult effort at standing up, FWhip ended up leaning on the other dragon for the half hour (give or take) walk back to the house.

It was a very broken down house. Part of the roof appeared to be collapsed, some sort of dimly glowing silk was wrapped through the frame of one of the windows (half of which had no glass) and there were multiple burn marks on the battered door.

FWhip hesitated slightly, but he didn't exactly have the choice to stop walking as he was relying entirely on the other dragon for any form of movement, so he continued towards the house.

The inside of the house was just about as awful as the outside. Half of the floor (the half under the collapsed part of the roof) was soaking wet and slightly overgrown. The other half was somewhat normal, with a pile of blankets in the corner presumably for sleeping, but there were a series of what looked like interlocking bookshelves on the wall, but there were no books in them.

Instead there were a series of what appeared to be very, very specific parts of different dragons- piles of dimly glowing SeaWing scales, a severed SandWing tail barb and something reminiscent of a diagram of RainWing venom glands that FWhip had seen in a Science book, for example. Maybe this wasn't the best idea.

The other dragon followed his gaze, laughing as he led FWhip over to the pile of blankets (which appeared to be made of the same silk wound around the window frame) and let the SkyWing fall back onto the comfortable surface. FWhip leant against the warmth of the silk blankets for a moment before shooting a slightly panicked look at the bookshelves.

The SilkWing followed his gaze again. "Oh- those. Don't worry, I'm not some sort of psycho. I just- collect random parts of Pyrrhian dragons! They're fascinating, and there's not much info about them over in Pyrrhia." FWhip nodded warily.

"And how did you... acquire these very specific parts of Pyrrhian dragons?" The SkyWing said slowly, tugging his arm away from the blanket as the blood began to stick to it.

"Oh, easy. Took them off dead dragons." The multicoloured dragon paused for a moment. "Most of them, anyway. I found some SeaWing scales by the beach I landed on luckily."

FWhip frowned. "And you didn't, um..." The blue-eyed dragonet trailed off.

"No, I didn't kill them." The SilkWing said with a warm laugh that certainly didn't sound like it belonged to a mass murderer, but he was still skeptical.

"Are you sure? Because-"

"Again, I didn't kill any of them, Pyrrhian dragons just seem to drop like flies." His companion paused thoughtfully. "You should probably do something about that. But anyway- look at my collection!" He said brightly. "Pyrrhian dragons are fascinating, so I've been gathering things that you wouldn't see in Pantalan tribes. Like SeaWing scales, RainWing scales and venom glands, SandWing tail barbs, NightWing fire glands... fascinating stuff, really. And, of course, stuff from rarer variants of Pyrrhian dragons- Firescales," FWhip edged slightly further away at this, which was a pain in itself, "NightWing teardrop scales, enchanted artefacts..."

"I've been thinking of getting some SkyWing wings, though." Again, he moved further away. "Not yours, don't worry- I don't kill dragons, I just... take stuff from already dead dragons." The SilkWing reassured him. "I want to learn more about Pyrrhian tribes, and how better than actually studying them?"

FWhip pulled a face, determine to move on as he watched the SilkWing reach for some sort of healing supply. "So... I told you my name. What's yours?" He queried warily.

"Oh- Sparrow! I'm Sparrow. Nice to meet you." Sparrow said brightly.

"That's not a very traditional SilkWing name." Aren't they named after butterflies and stuff?

"Yeah, because FWhip is such a stereotypical SkyWing name." The brown-eyed dragonet retorted sharply. When FWhip said nothing, Sparrow added, "Nobody tends to stick to traditional naming methods anymore. My fathers really liked sparrows, so- Sparrow!" He added with a toothy grin. FWhip nodded slowly.

"Can you guess how long I'll have to stay here?"
He asked quietly. He could only imagine how worried the group was, and Gem was probably beside herself with anxiety by now, even though he was only an hour or two late to the meet-up point at most.

"Uh... couple days maybe? Few weeks at most."
FWhip's heart sank. "Depends on how stubborn your wounds are healing-wise." Sparrow muttered, humming quietly.

The SkyWing glanced over the tears in the SilkWing's wings. "How did you get to Pyrrhia with injured wings?" He could only guess the dragonet was from Pantala based on both his quality of housing (presumably it wa temporary) and his curiosity surrounding Pyrrhian dragons. I don't wanna be nosy and ask what happened to his wings but I am curious as to how he- flew here with those. Maybe they were damaged after he got here.

"Dragons have constructed really, really long bridges between the islands that lead to Pyrrhia. And artificial islands between them so they don't collapse." Sparrow informed him, making a motion with his claws that cause the same sort of silk as the one the blankets were made up of to come spilling out of a part of his wrist. It was a lot brighter than the strands tangled around the window frame (FWhip still wasn't sure why the silk was wrapped around the window frame).

After a few minutes of this, a substantial amount of silk had been created and Sparrow, who looked significantly more tired, picked it up awkwardly, making his way over to FWhip and reaching down. The SkyWing winced as his arm was moved, so he looked away, not sure what was happening. His arm did become warmer than usual though, so that was a plus.

When his new friend (?) backed away, FWhip glanced down to see his arm wrapped in flamesilk.

"It's definitely broken, so that should hold it in place for now. I'll add more tomorrow- I'm tired though. You should probably get some rest." Sparrow muttered, shooting one more glance at FWhip before disappearing into another room.

Still not entirely convinced that he wouldn't wake up with his wings cut off, the SkyWing dragonet attempted to curl up as comfortably as he could without his neck and wing hurting, and soon he found himself drifting off to sleep- he was already exhausted, so this wasn't a difficult task.

Hopefully his wounds would heal soon and he could meet up with Gem again.

:D it's Sparrow (NLSMP!Owen)!!!!!!

I'm swapping his curiosity for hybrids for a curiosity for Pyrrhia dragons :D

He's a lil odd but he's never killed anyone I promise, he's jus really curious and uh

Steals the intriguing parts of dead dragons (he has too much curiosity for his own good, but hey if he comes across a random dead dragon he will steal any part of its body that wouldn't be on a Pantalan dragon, he's weird)

No Sparrow will not cut FWhip's wings off, he only steals stuff from dead dragon

Hope y'all enjoyed <3
