Chapter 4

-Amily's POV-

If you weren't terrified before, watching the reapings made any hope you had of winning fly straight out the door. Trying to be organized, you wrote down a list of all the tributes along with your thoughts and comments from Dorian, Finnick and Mags.

District 1:
Rocky Kain (17) - intimidating stereotypical career. Avoid
Sapphire Grant (18) - looks cute but could probably kill you in less than 10 seconds. Avoid

District 2:
Herman Hawkins (18) - gives you the absolute creeps. Avoid avoid avoid!
Thea Walsh (17) - tiny but probably deadly. Avoid

District 3:
Alger Jenkins (13) - poor kid's definitely not making it far. Maybe he can hide or make traps.
Rowan Benson (12) - she looks like Annie. I hope she makes it or goes quickly. Not a threat.

District 4:
Dorian Ripp (16) - asshole
Amily Tides (18) - me lol

District 5:
Ariz Fae (17) - looks younger than 17. Not strong
Addison Watts (13) - not a threat

District 6:
Harvey Woolridge (16) - not a threat
Journey Bright (15) - not a threat

District 7:
Darren Newman (17) - strong. Probably works as a lumberjack. Looks smart too.
Hadwin Flowers (16) - looks friendly but deadly. Maybe avoid if not an ally.

District 8:
Constant Andrus (15) - not a threat
Ruth Garraway (12) - not a threat

District 9:
Teri Bacchus (18) - scary dude but unsure of strengths. Watch at training but probably avoid.
Zelene Feron (15) - not a threat unless teamed with Teri

District 10:
Byron Oliver (15) - looks strong for his age. Could be a threat.
Raven Fletcher (16) - possible threat. Really tall.

District 11:
Bruno Moore (17) - avoid avoid avoid. Could probably kill you with his hands alone.
Valerie Mendez (16) - maybe a threat but probably not. Looks fast

District 12:
Lane Hansen (12) - not a threat
Virginia Curry (14) - not a threat

Looking at this year's tributes, you had to avoid nearly half of them at all cost. The only trustworthy ones seem to be maybe districts 3 or 7 but you would have to wait till training to get to know them.

While Finnick and Dorian stayed up to talk strategy, you said goodnight to Mags and headed off to bed.

You were awoken at dawn to the shrill knocking of your prep team.
"Amily wake up!" The one with pink hair shrieks. They drag you out of bed and whisk you to the basement of the training center where you enter a room with a bathtub and a cold metal table in the middle.

"I'm Raquel," stated the one with the pink hair. "And that's Dots and Porchia. We are your prep team! You will meet your stylist Demitry later this morning. Now strip off your clothes so we can see what we are working with!"

Although you hate being naked in front of anyone, let alone yourself, you quickly strip off your clothes and stand naked in the cold room. Your prep team circles around you like vultures, making comments about your uneven skin and puffy stomach. You tune most of it out.

Before you know it, you are in the tub being scrubbed down by Dots while Raquel washes your hair. They apply so many scents to you that you can't help but sneeze every few minutes. Stupid allergies.

After you are deemed clean, you are put back on the table where Dots and Porchia start waxing your entire body. That shit is painful, but you don't complain as per Mags' advice. Raquel starts cleaning up your nails as she claims they are "unkept and in horrible condition."
