-Amily's POV-
I skipped dinner last night. I probably should have eaten but I was too nauseous from anxiety. At 7:00am sharp I changed into my training suit and made my way to the dinning room for breakfast. Today was the first day of training, which was bad news cause it meant seeing the other tributes but it was also good news because it meant being able to figure out how I might possibly survive the arena. Breakfast was alarmingly quiet and Dorian and I made our way down to the training floor at 7:55.
After getting a brief lecture from the head trainer, the tributes split off to the different stations. The careers immediately went for the weapons and I noted who picked up what. Rocky went for a spear while Saph went for a machete. Herman picked up a heavy looking sword like it weighed nothing and Thea headed to the archery station.
Looking around I saw Rowan, the girl from 3, at the fire starting station and I decided to head there. We practiced together for a bit before I left to go to the ropes station. She reminded me too much of Annie. As much as I wanted to, I couldn't ally with her. I would get too attached and her chances of making it were low. I practiced the knots I learned as a kid over and over until it was time for lunch.
I steered clear of the careers in the cafeteria and ended up at a table with the pair from 7. Darren and Hadwin were very nice and had been classmates in school. Both of them were good with axes and Hadwin offered to teach me how to throw them after lunch if I taught her knots tomorrow morning. Darren also offered to teach me some hand-to-hand techniques if I showed him how to make fish hooks. I didn't actually know how to make fish hooks but I'm sure Mags could teach me tonight.
Throwing axes was harder than it looked. They were heavy and awkward to hold. A trainer suggested I try throwing knives instead and I was actually somewhat decent at them. He said they'd be a good weapon for me as I could throw them and then run from a fight. It seems like all the times I raced Annie up the hill to our house were actually beneficial for something. The training day quickly ended and I said goodbye to Hadwin and Darren before heading back up to the fourth floor to shower. After a quick shower and some dinner, I had Mags give me a lesson on making fish hooks. I think I learned enough to teach Darren. Exhausted, I headed to bed.
The remaining two days of training flew by. I exchanged lessons with the pair from 7 and we agreed to team up together in the arena. Dorian was upset I wouldn't join the careers but I would not budge on the subject. Finnick kept his distance from me all week. I think Mags might have told him about the parade incident. He's probably doing it more out of respect for my boundaries and not because he hates me which is good I guess. Tomorrow is our evals and Mags said Finnick would be available to help me practice weapons, but I politely declined. I feel good about using knives (a solid 60% accuracy) and I don't really want to start working with him now. Plus I'm sure he'll be busy with Dorian or capital parties (he seems to attend those a lot). Either way I'll sleep on my eval and hopefully have an idea as to what I'll do before breakfast tomorrow.

AN: Super short chapter but it's kind of a filler. The next chapter should be out soon.
