My alarm clock the next morning was a shrieking Porchia as she saw my bedhead at 8:00am.
"Get up get up!" Raquel chimed. "It seems we have a lot of work to do."

The prep today was not nearly as bad as the one earlier in the week. After only 3 hours I was prepped to the blank canvas Demitry expected and took a break for lunch.

"Now Amily," started Mags. "Remember the breathing techniques I taught you. They will help a lot with the interview."

"Thanks Mags," you reply as you pick at your food. You know you should be eating more but you miss your comfort foods of District 4 and you were nauseous from anxiety.

After lunch, you were taken by car to the television studio where the interviews were being held to finish your prep. Demitry had Porchia and Raquel curl your hair while Dots did your makeup. It seems like you were dressing for the sexy look tonight. I guess they didn't get the charming memo. Thirty minutes before the interviews were to begin, Demitry slipped you into a blue satin dress with a plunging neckline and criss crossed ribbons that mimicked the gauze of your parade dress. You had done your best to erase the parade from your memory.
"There!" exclaimed Demitry. "My masterpiece is complete."

"Thanks Demitry I look beautiful!" you reply with a fake smile. It's not that you looked bad, you just looked too sexy for your liking. Valencia picked you up from your prep room and brought you to the backstage area where the other tributes were waiting.

You wanted to go chat with Hadwin and Darren but Herman's sudden and close presence sent a chill throughout your body.

"My mentors told me to stay away from you," he whispered in your ear. "But I'm not sure I want to listen to them."

"Oh well um I think you should," you quickly reply. "Bye Herman."

He gives you an annoyed look as you leave to go chat with Hadwin and Darren.

"I don't like the way he looks at you," remarked Darren, clearly having witnessed the interaction with Herman.
"Not to be sadistic but can we please put him high on our kill list," you huff.
"Whatever you want," Darren says as he smiles at you. Hadwin gives your hand a reassuring squeeze as you make your way back to Dorian before you need to be on stage.

The next thing you remember is taking the elevator back up to your floor. According to Mags and Finnick you did well with your interview and hopefully will get some sponsors but you don't remember any of it. I guess you were more nervous than you thought.

When you reach the fourth floor, Mags pulls you aside to go over what your strategy should be in the arena.

"When the games start, run away from the cornucopia," she stated sternly. "Maybe grab any supplies that are close but don't get drawn in to the blood bath."

You nod as she continues.
"I know you're allied with the pair from 7 but your number one priority should always be you. Don't wait around at the cornucopia trying to find them. If you don't see them, leave without them."

As much as you hated the idea of starting the games without Hadwin or Darren, you knew Mags was right.

"The first priority is to find water. Don't drink from any source unless you are 100% positive it's safe to drink. Next, you want to find food and shelter. Don't build a fire as that will attract the careers."

You wonder why you even bothered at the fire building station but maybe it would be useful in a trap.

"Stay away from the careers and the strong tributes from 10 and 11," Mags continued. "Don't seek out a fight. Only fight when it's absolutely necessary. If you can run then run. See if you can find hiding places."

After awhile of listening to Mags, your eyes grow heavy and she leaves you to sleep. You had a big and potentially last day of your life tomorrow.
