"There's no one here." Pariah mentions, as her and Rosetta wander Town Hall.
The furnishings of course, were destroyed all throughout, and there was a thick slime on the floors.
They follow this slime to the Underwater Tunnel, leading to the Governor's Office.
Rosetta goes to open the door, but Pariah stops her.
"Are you sure you want to just barge in there?"
"I am."
They both take deep breaths, and Rosetta shoved the door open.
The room was almost pitch black, and at the end of it stood Governor Moore, staring up at a blank screen. At least, it was blank to them.
He hasn't noticed them yet.
Pariah follows Rosetta, and then looks over to the left, near the desk. The corpse of the real Moore sat there, deformed and pale.
"Who the hell are you?!" Rosetta yells, aiming her sidearm at the mimic.
The Progenitor turns around, staring at them with the lifeless eyes that inhabited its disguise.
"Can't you see? I am the Governor." It speaks, smiling at them grimly.
Rosetta walks up to it, pistol whipping it in the face, causing it to the fall on the floor.
As it recovered, Rosetta sees that it's face had been exposed. The facade had gone away, as a alien creature is formed out of it.
Pariah takes steps back, but Rosetta was still in awe as the Progenitor grew into a great mass of faces.
"Who do you think you are?!" It yells in a voice mimicking millions of others at the same time.
It then extends one of its many arms into a sharp blade, impaling Rosetta.
"No!" Pariah yells, firing at the monstrosity with the shotgun, which destroyed some of it's lifeless faces.
But the Progenitor turned around, throwing Rosetta across the room and giving all its attention to Pariah.
"No? We are the Progenitor of All Things. We are Alpha. We were the first." The creature slithers around in the darkness like a snake.
Pariah runs back towards the door to the office, ramming it open and out towards the Tunnel.
The Progenitor grabs at her leg with one it's arms and begins to drag her in.
Pariah screams, creating a Handheld Supernova and throwing it at the arm, disintegrating it entirely into ashes.
The Progenitor screeches, slithering out the door and grabbing her with tentacles created by it's mass, beginning to crush her.
It brings her closer to it's natural face, of three bright eyes.
"We we're the first, we will be the last." It says, crushing her in it's arms.
Pariah tries to create the Void in her hands, but her blood wasn't circulated, and they were numb.
The sound of a charge stopped them both, and a great red laser beam tore through the Progenitor's slimelike flesh.
The Progenitor screeched and dropped Pariah, falling down into a mass on the ground.
Pariah looks up to see a beaten Dexter, holding Sentinel Jack's gun.
"Dexter!" Pariah yells, and she runs to him, he runs to her.
They embrace eachother.
"What's going on?" She asks, breathing heavily.
