"Ved beta please play slowly. This is a room na?" Bhavani requested Vedant who was busy sending the football here and there in the living room through his kicks
"Mummaaa" he called out while kicking again,"Nothing will happen when Ved is the captain"
"Wo sab toh thik hai my captain, but do one thing go and play in the backyard, I'm going to the terrace"
"Can I go too ? Please?"
"No beta, because if you come you'll come with the ball and I don't want that .Aam sukh raha hai upar.Mujhe baadme aam papad banane hai usse."[Mangoes are getting dried up on the terrace.Later on I need to make mango leather using them]
Ved's eyes twinkled hearing the name
"Aam papad ???Yummmyyy" but then he focused on the conversation in between his precious shots "Ple-...Goallllll" he shouted excitedly when the ball hit a shelf"Vedant, can't you see there is a showpiece just above it? " Bhavani scolded this time," What if it fell down and got broken, huh?"
In order to mellow down his mother Ved came and hugged her
"Sorry Mumma"And as usual she melted and ruffled his hair
"Sun na meri baat ekbar bachcha, piche jaake khel"
[Please listen to me once, baby,go play in the backyard]"Okay" Ved pouted
"Aur han, under no circumstances you're stepping your foot outside the main gate, okay ? I ain't locking it,but tu bahar nahi jayega. The ball shouldn't go as well because then you'll go behind it and I won't allow that.Clear?"
[I ain't locking,but you aren't stepping outside]He nodded like an obedient child.
"Chalo then go now"
She kissed his head and ascended the stairs to their terrace.
Bhavani just picked up the used vessels from their home's temple when she heard footsteps, but resumed to go in order to wash them.
She felt her kid's presence behind her but continued her work
Ved peeped from above his mother's shoulder
"Agaya tu phirse ?" Bhavani asked without turning back.
[You came back again?]" Wo,I was getting sooooooooooo bored downstairs isiliye Mai agaya"
"Han of course, mujhe pareshan kiye bina tujhe chain kaise milega-"
[Yes,of course,or else how would be find peace without troubling me ?]The sound of a dropping ball alerted her and she got up at once.Ved was just about to kick the ball when she picked it up
"Mu-"
"What did I say to you ?"
"Please dedo na"
"I'm asking you something" she didn't relent
"You told me not to bring the ball here and play with it"
"Oh so Mr.Vedant Chaturvedi remembers! Congratulations" she said in sarcasm,"Beta I didn't tell that to you just for fun, look there " she pointed towards a certain place
"I've kept those pulp under the sun.Thoda thoda karke. They need be here for a few more days and we need to be careful. That is why I told you not to play here. But now as you've come,I suggest you to keep your ball aside.Tu aise hi khel but it shouldn't ruin it"Ved listened to her attentively but then thought of an idea
"I'll not go near them, promise.Pakka wala. Please Mumma please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please "
"No means no, you aren't using the ball here"
"Pleaseeeeeeee,Pweaaseee, plisss, pilijjjjj, plea easeeeee" Ved began using his whole vocabulary on a single word and started jumping on his place, holding his Mumma's hand
