"Vedant Chaturvedi ! Stand up and come here" a furious Ms.Lalita entered the classroom and called for Ved.
"Why in the world did you do a thing like this ?Tell me !"
When Ved remained silent Lalita got angrier
"Chewing gum? Seriously? You ,out of no where just decided to put chewing gum on someone's hair" She held his arm and made him look up this time .
"Do you even understand the gravity of your mischief? Ms Tanuja now has to chop off her hair!How would you feel if somebody does this to you !"
"Sorry mam"
"After doing such a thing all you can think of is saying sorry?Okay,you'll be actually sorry then, I'll make sure of it.Come on,arrange your books, grab your bag and come outside,as it is you don't have time to study at school"
"Mam,mam sorry , I won't do anything like this again" Ved pleaded.
"Do as I say or it will be worse for you"Ms.Lalita's threatening immediately did the job as Ved came back with his packed bag.
Ms.Lalita dragged him to the corridor
"Sit down on the floor,and you dare not remove from your position till the departure. Let your guardian come and we'll deal with it after that"
Listening to his punishment Vedant immediately held her hands and started begging his teacher with his watered eyes
"Mam, mam please, don't complaint about me, I'll never do such a thing again,I promise, I'll even apologize to Tanuja mam,sachchi,but please let me go this time"
"Vedant,not a word more,or I'll take you to the principal,you want me to do so?"
"No mam,not to principal sir"
"Then stay here and be good boy.Do not get up from your position.I request you not to land yourself in any more trouble"
With this,Ms.Lalita went to continue with the rest of her day.
No sooner the departure bell rang,Ved's heartbeat accelerated to the highest level, atleast that's what he thought.
The students came out of their respective classes and Ved finally got to stand up,as he was on the floor for a long time.
For a second,he thought of running away before anybody could catch him,but his hopes were shattered even when he saw Ms.Lalita coming his way.
"Let's go Vedant",and they started descending towards the main gate where the guardians waited.
Vedant got the utmost shock his life when he saw his father standing there instead of his mother today.He had spent all the day on the floor thinking about all best form of requests and even practised for the same with the best puppy eyes, which could melt his mother's heart and spare him from passing the complaint onto his father.
"Mam, please don't complain to my father, he'll get very angry, I'm sorry mam" Ved tried his luck for the very last time but his class teacher ignored him,and they reached the gate.
"Why is his class teacher accompanying him?
Did this boy again do something?"
Samarth voiced his thoughts unconsciously which reached Ms.Lalita's ears
"You're absolutely right Mr.Chaturvedi,
I'm here to clear the confusion of yours"
