It's been quite a few minutes since Bhavani brought Ved back home after giving the compensation, earnest requests and making Ved and the kids promise that they won't trouble him ever again.It was surely a tough job to convince a person like Ramesh,but the guardians managed to do it somehow.

But,the journey to home wasn't a pleasant one for Vedant as he kept getting scolded from his mother which ended at "Andar chal batati hoon tujhe"in front of their main gate.

Yet,surprisingly when they got inside Bhavani simply ordered him to freshen up and straightaway sit to study.

"No loitering around here and there,bring your books and start reading the chapter that I had marked yesterday.I'm going to give a dictation on that, so you should thoroughly prepared with the spellings.Go now"

"Bu-" Ved opened his mouth to argue about the test and Bhavani cut it off immediately
"Not a word if you know what is better for you right now.Also,do not think that I forgot what you did."

Deciding not to push too far Ved turned around to go and freshen up.

"Good.Now go,okay ? I'll join you soon"
Bhavani encouraged when he came back.

He was just about to enter his room and collect the books,when he thought better and ran to hug his mother.
"Sorry Mumma"
"Hm" Bhavani patted his head back,"Why do you keep on landing yourself in trouble,huh? Bina shaitani kiye don't you find peace?"

Ved didn't reply but snuggled into her more.
"Jab ab, we'll talk about this later"

He turned to go again but came back and tugged at his mother's pallu

"Now what?" Bhavani looked down at her son
"Can we please study at my room today?"
"Why ?" she asked knowing the reason very well
"Please" he pleaded,not disclosing the reason.
"Thik hai" she sighed and agreed as
he ran inside soon after getting the permission.

The thing was that,it being a Saturday,Samarth was to come back home early from work.Though he had informed in the morning that he might be late this week,still Ved didn't like to take the risk of coming face to face with the lion anytime soon.

Vedant had almost completed his lesson when a loud knock on the main door grabbed the mother and son's attention.

"It must be Papa.You continue reading the last few spellings and be ready with your copy, I'm coming"

She stepped down the bed and was about to exit when Ved came running behind her
"Mumma please don't tell Papa"

"Ved enough now,this must be the millionth time you're telling the same thing.Go back to your place"

"Please please please, I'm sorry par Papa ko nahi batana."

"Ved, maar khana hai tujhe ?"

"Ved is sorry Mumma please don't tel-"

*Knock knock*

They heard the main door again

"Ved Papa is waiting outside the house" Bhavani glared down
"Mumma"
"Okay stop.I'll think about it" she said finding no way out

"Sorry,you must be waiting for a long time" Bhavani apologized guiltily, looking at her tired husband
"It's okay" Samarth said with a smile
"Ved?" he enquired, finding no trace of his son at their room
"Studying in his own room" Bhavani replied
"Expected." muttered Samarth
"Huh ?"
"Nothing"
"You get freshened up I'll prepare some snacks for you"
"Please bring it in the room, I've to complete a file "
"Alright "

Bhavani found his short replies strange but shrugged it off for the time being thinking it to be work pressure as she decided to have a conversation about their day in the night.
