I stood at the foot of my bed, my suitcase open and all the clothes spread out. There were two voices in my head, one telling me to wear something cute as normal girls would do and the other one telling me to not leave my comfort zone. I had limited options if I wanted to wear something cute. I will go shopping tomorrow because I have to buy a swimsuit as well for the beach days. Anyhow for now I wore a simple white tank top and jeans. My hair were still damp after the shower, soaking my back. I didn't bring my hair dryer, that's something I will have to add to the list of things I am buying tomorrow.

I hurried across the room and just as I opened the door, I bumped into someone standing on the other side of the door. This sudden collision surprised both of us, causing a momentary pause as I tried to process what just happened. His eyes, blue like the ocean, hair the colour of the golden sun with brown strokes. His eyes scanned my face as an apologetic glance appeared on it. You could literally hear the droplets of water falling of the ground from the tips of my damp hair, in the awkward silence between us.

"I'm sorry." he said moving back after realising we had been staring at each other for a minute or so. "I thought this was my room." he continued. I smiled awkwardly and said, "Um, no. Yours is probably the one next to mine." and pointed at the room just beside mine. He nodded and said, "You must be Jere's sister." "Yes. And you are?" after a small pause he said, "Liam." a smirk appeared on his face and then he just went into his room without another word.

As I reached the last step on the staircase Nick grabbed my hand and dragged me into the kitchen where everyone else was. They were all standing around the island, discussing something.

"Where are we going for dinner?" I asked Jeremy.

"That is what we are trying to decide right now." he replied.

"I think we should go to that restaurant we saw on the way from the airport." Jay suggested.

"That's too far away, and I am hungry." Alex said, jumping.

"We could order?" Atlas stated his very wise opinion to which all the others protested and this made me laugh. They all looked at me as my laugh rang in the now silent kitchen. Looking at their faces just made me laugh more.

"What's so funny?" Jeremy asked.

I wheezed and said, 'I dont know, looking at you all just made me laugh."

"You find our faces amusing?" Alex replied, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, in a way, yes." I said, still grinning.

"I dont know if I should take that as a compliment or be offended." Jay said, his face breaking into a smile.

"Don't be offended please." I said, just in case. They all smiled at me.

"What's going on?" I heard a voice behind me, Liam's voice. I turned around, seeing Liam standing inches away from me.

"Nat here finds our faces amusing." Nick replied to Liam's question. Liam then faced me, looking directly into my eyes and said, "Does my face amuse you as well?" I froze and didnt even realise it until Liam put on that ridiculous smirk on his face again. "I guess its rather more mesmerising than amusing." He said walking past me, joining the other boys. I scoffed at his self absorbed comment and whispered, "Definitely not" under my breath which somehow reached Liam's ears because he turned around and raised an eyebrow questioning me.

"You guys stop with all of this. We have more important matters at hand." Jeremy said, breaking the silence and then all of them began arguing again, trying to chose a place to eat.

"Nat? Is there any place you know?" Nick asked me when they finally gave up on trying to decide by themselves. I smiled and said, "Actually yes. Its a cute restaurant, not very famous because its new." They all looked at each other's faces and then decided that we'll go there.

"Can I drive?" I asked Jeremy. He looked at me, widened his eyes and said, "No, I dont have a death wish." "Ha. Ha. Very funny." I mocked but then also pleaded him to let me drive. I gave up on trying to convince him.

"Guys you'll have to adjust a little bit for today, the car is only five seater. I promise I'll rent a new car tomorrow." Jeremy announced as he sat on the driving seat. Everyone else groaned and cursed him. I occupied my seat near the window on the back seat because Alex already took the passenger seat beside Jeremy.

Jeremy shouted from his window to Jay, "You can sit with Alex in the front seat, you are thin enough. Now stop complainig!" Jay rolled his eyes but did as Jeremy said. Nick opened the door which I was sitting near to and said, "Scoot over Nat." He said motioning me with his hand. I shook my head but he practically pushed me onto the other end. He and Atlas sat in the car and closed the door, signalling Liam to come from the other end.

Liam opened the door next to me and I said, "You can sit on the car roof." He laughed and said, "I dont think so." I heard Alex yelling front the front seat, "What is taking so long? Nat you are literally so small, just sit on someone's lap, I am HUNGRYYY." I jerked my head in his direction, "Shut up" I yelled. Before I could know what was happening, I felt Liam's arms, one wrapping around the back of my shoulders and the other one around the back of my knees, he picked me up and out of the car as I kicked my feet in the air, shouting, "What the fuck! Liam, put me down!" He just chuckled looking at my failed attempts to get out of his grasp.

After he put me on the ground, he quickly took my seat in the car. "So you all are just going to leave me here?" I said, crossing my arms across my chest. "I am the only one who knows where the restaurant is." I spoke again.

"Just sit down Nat." Jeremy said, annoyed. "Where?" I questioned. That is when Liam grabbed my hand and pulled me into the car, onto his lap. He closed the door behind me and told Jeremy to drive. All the other boys laughed at the sight of my sitting on Liam's right thigh. He adjusted himself, picking me up slightly by my waist, facing my back slightly towards the car gate. I could feel his arm on the lower back. I rolled my eyes when I saw Liam looking at me with a smirk on his face.

The car ride was uncomfortable as hell, both the time I sat on Liam's thigh, while going to the restaurant and while coming back home. Despite all of the awkwardness on the first day, I had fun. Everyone seemed really fun, whatever else I had once thought of about Jeremy's friends, was all untrue. They were honestly fun people, joking and laughing, giggling and playing around. I felt safe and comfortable around them and they accepted me as I was. Honestly I never thought I'd have so much fun, especially with Jeremy's friends.
