I woke up in the morning, my entire body regretting my decision to leave the bed. I went downstairs, wearing an oversized hoodie over the V-neck camisole and shorts I slept in last night. I looked around and Alex and Nick were half asleep on the couch. I went towards the kitchen to get coffee.
As I entered the kitchen I aw Atlas and Liam talking. Looking at Liam, standing shirtless in grey sweatpants, near the coffee cup. His muscular body flexing as he ran his hand through his hair. Atlas stood opposite to him with a glass of water in his hand.
"Good morning Nat." Atlas said as I walked in towards them, opening a cabinet and taking a mug out of it for coffee. "Good morning" I replied trying to sound polite. "Not a morning person, I see." He said and I laughed of his comment, it wasn't untrue. I saw Liam pouring the last of the coffee left in the pot into his cup, just as I reached to grab it. I rolled my eyes at him, setting my mug onto the countertop.
"I thought you already had coffee." Atlas interrupted Liam and he nodded. "Enjoy your second cup of coffee." he said raising and then setting his glass, leaving the kitchen now.
I looked at Liam and said, "So you are drinking a second cup of coffee just to piss me off?" He shook his head, trying to act as if in disbelief by my accusation, "No, I just love coffee." he said drinking another sip. I rolled my eyes and said, "That was mine." to which he replied, "I dont see your name written on it."
One thing about me is that I need coffee to function, especially in the morning. So half annoyed and half asleep, I took the cup of coffee from Liam's hand and took a sip. Just before I turned to leave the kitchen I saw Liam put his crooked smirk on his face. I rolled my eyes and walked out as Liam yelled behind me, "That's my coffee." "Don't see your name written on it." I said, saying what he said to me seconds ago.
I sat on the couch as Jeremy and Jay walked towards us. Alex and Nick, who were now awake, asked about the plans for today.
"There is a pool party we can go to." Jeremy suggested, it was the pool party hosted every summer when we visited here.
"That sounds fun." Alex replied, as Liam also joined us in our conversation, sitting right beside me.
"Yeah, its actually pretty cool. They have this huge pool and slides and drinks and DJ." Jeremy said.
"okay great then, that's is where we are going." Alex said standing up.
"Great. Get ready then we leave in two hours." Jeremy said. He and Jay were already ready, while the other boys went to their rooms to get ready. Before leaving Jeremy turned to look at me. "And what will you do?" he asked me. "I'm actually gonna go to the mall." I replied remembering I had many things to buy, and I dont miss a chance to shop. He nodded and went outside saying that he I going to a car rental shop. I sat there alone sipping on my coffee, in the living room.
I was all ready to leave and so were the others. Jeremy had got a seven seater car which I was really grateful for. He dropped me to the mall and as I was getting out of the car Nick asked me, "You should come to the party as well, Nat." I smiled at him and said, "Maybe I will join later." I joked. The guys waved at me as the car started moving and I laughed, waking back at them.
I shopped for many things. New swimwear and a hair dryer. New clothes and shoes. Even makeup, just a lip gloss and mascara, not much. I entered one store when I saw a cute summer dress on the display. As I was looking around a heard a voice behind me, "Natalie Garcia!" I turned around, hearing my full name in a voice that sounded familiar. To my uttermost surprise, it was Isabel Lancaster. Me and her used to hangout all the time in the summers until our visits became frequent and then rare. She gasped as she saw me. "I thought you were dead or something, bitch." she screeched, jumping up and down and then hugging me. "Nice to see you too Isa." I replied hugging her back.
