Liam's POV
Jeremy was going to wake up Natalie when I interrupted him, "Don't wake her up." he looked at me and said, "Well I am tired and I can't leave her here."
"Don't worry. I'll take her to her room." I said which pleased Jeremy. He gave me the car keys and went inside the house without saying another word as I directed my attention towards Natalie who was still asleep in the car. I didn't want to wake her up because she looked so undisturbed while sleeping and anyhow she was really tired after the party.
I bent towards Natalie, wrapping my left arm around her back and the other one around the back of her knees, picking her up like I did earlier the same day. I closed the car door with my foot and turned around to walk towards the house. Natalie woke up slightly but didn't protest or scream this time, instead she serenely mumbled, half asleep and nestled her head against my chest.
I kicked open the door, trying to not wake up the small girl in my arms. She looked like a child, peacefulness over her face, unconcerned about everything. I smiled down at her as she slightly adjusted herself in my arms.
I went upstairs as I saw Nick entering his room. He looked at me and went still for a second but, didn't say anything. After he went into his room I opened the door to Natalie's room. The room was cold and tranquil but yet somehow welcoming. The lights were on and the window was open. Chilling breezes flew through the window as Natalie shivered in my arms and clutched my shirt in her left hand.
I walked towards her bed and put her down on the bed. Even though she was asleep, she didn't left go of my shirt. I wrapped my fingers around her cold hands, slowly unfastening her grasp on my shirt. Her had, idly landed beside her head as she curled inwards folding her knees. My hand reached near her nightstand in search of the light switch.
I flipped the switch as it all went dark and suddenly, I heard Natalie gasp. I heard her shaky voice as she barely managed to whisper, "Not the lights, Liam."
I switched the light on again, seeing she was almost awake now. She turned the other side at the sight of me as if hiding something. "It's okay, Natalie." I uttered. She turned, fear slowly draining out of her eyes as I said that. She mouthed 'Thank you' to me and slowly laid back down, sinking into her bed.
I walked out of her room and back into my room. I propped onto the bed, laying on my back, staring at the ceiling. Not being able to sleep. I wondered about today and why Natalie was afraid of the dark. I don't know much about her, maybe I'll ask Jeremy tomorrow.
Thinking about Natalie, made me feel different. I've only known her for a day and she has instilled herself in my mind. She isn't like anyone I've ever met before. She has a charm of her own, a sense of humour of her own, an idea of the world of her own. She lives free and carelessly, not caring what the world thinks.
I didn't even realize when I fell asleep thinking about her.
Natalie's POV
Its been a little more than a week living here with the guys and honestly speaking, Jeremy was right, I fitted right in. We all felt like a family. I spent hours reading and discussing books with Atlas. Claimed many victories while plying video games with Jeremy and Nick. Went maniacally shopping with Jay. Play basketball with Alex. Swam in the pool with Liam as he would continuously flirt with me. My feelings were confused like me. But everything felt amazing. It all felt right for the first time in my life.
"Good morning, Nay." I heard Alex's voice from the couch as I walked downstairs.
"Good morning." I replied, still half asleep.
