evermore

𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗦 has passed since the Kamado Family saved Haibara Mayu from dying. Kamado Kie just gave birth to another son named Rokuta, while Mayu accepted them as her true family. The girl, despite not being familiar with their family's lifestyle, was able to adjust quickly.
Kie noticed it firsthand; Mayu was not used to living in the mountains. Well, considering the items that she has on her luggage, she wouldn't be so shocked if Mayu was raised in a rich neighbourhood or even in a city.
Even so, the Kamado Family did their best to teach Mayu a lot of things. They even found out that despite being young the girl has a natural talent for combat, specifically archery.
They discovered Mayu's talent for archery when she found an old bow from the same lake where she was found by Kie and Nezuko and decided to make an arrow from scratch.
As expected, the arrow that was handmade by then eight-year-old kid was faulty. Despite that, she was able to shoot a bird with great accuracy. It seems like the girl has an enhanced eyesight. To say that the Kamados are shocked is an understatement.
Nezuko finds it weird. How come a girl who is the same age as her can use a weapon? It's not that she thinks it's impossible, but in Mayu's case, Nezuko thinks it's totally unbelievable.
Why, you think? It's because of how Mayu carries herself. Whenever she walks, Mayu looks like she's floating because of how light her footsteps are. Whenever she talks, her mellow voice would echo throughout the whole place. Is she even a child?
It's like her presence alone is free from harshness.
Haibara Mayu, from her perspective, is like the human incarnation of innocence and peace.
Tanjiro, on the other hand, was creeped out by her presence at first. He's not really shocked by her enhanced eyesight, given that he himself has an enhanced sense of smell.
He was creeped out because of Mayu's aura, which does not emit any kind of emotional outburst. Sometimes, Tanjiro can't sense her presence at all, making him believe for sometime that Mayu is a ghost.
Tanjiro also thinks that, in a way, Mayu is just like his father, who's always gentle and calm. Maybe that's why his father and Mayu get along so well.
In Tanjiro's perspective, she was like a lavender, believed to be a symbol of serenity and grace.
Mayu's presence is undeniably a great help for the family. She always volunteers to babysit the younger Kamado siblings. Takeo even said that he 'hates' it because she's just a little bit older than him.
