𝗔𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 urging of the swordsman named Tomioka Giyu, Tanjiro and Mayu along with Nezuko made their way to Mount Sagiri— in which they will eventually meet their future trainer.

On their way to the mountain, Tanjiro asks a farmer if he can take a basket along with some bamboos and straws to fix it.

"Would it be okay if I took that basket, straw and some bamboo?"

"Sure. It's fine, but that basket is full of holes." The farmer said, allowing him to get the basket for free, but Tanjiro being Tanjiro refuse on getting it for free.

"And of course, I'll pay for them."

"No, it's alright. I mean the basket is full of holes already." The farmer nonchalantly refuse.

"Please, I insist!" Tanjiro insisted on paying stubbornly.

The farmer denies the payment for the second time, and told Tanjiro that he can also get the straws and bamboo for free.

"But I'm still paying you!"

"It's okay! You're one stubborn kid!"

In the end, Tanjiro forcefully paid the farmer before running away and thanking him, leaving the farmer yelping in pain.

While all of that is happening, Mayu is staying with Nezuko in a nearby dirt tunnel, waiting for Tanjiro to return.

Mayu silently watched Nezuko dug herself to the ground as she is aware of Nezuko's reluctance on seeing the sunlight.

Moments later Tanjiro arrived carrying the basket and asks Mayu on helping him repairing the basket. She eagerly did so.

"Do you think she can fit in here?" Mayu asks while repairing the basket.

"I hope so, I want us to keep moving during the day, too." Tanjiro replied.

Nodding, Mayu gave the basket back to Tanjiro after making sure the basket is fully repaired.

"Nezuko? Nezuko? You think you can fit inside this? I'll carry you, okay" Tanjiro asks his younger sister who's still on the ground.

Tanjiro sensing that Nezuko can't really understand him tried asking his sister in a way an adult would talk to a child, which seems to work. Nezuko was able able to fit inside the basket after shrinking herself at Tanjiro's urging.

"That's a good girl, Nezuko. I'm impressed." Tanjiro said, uttering compliments to her sister while Mayu gave Nezuko a head pat.

Strapping the basket on his back, now able to carry Nezuko during the daylight while protecting her from the sunlight, Tanjiro and Mayu continues to make their way to Mount Sagiri.
