"𝗟𝗘𝗧'𝗦 𝗚𝗢, 𝗠𝗔𝗬𝗨" Tanjiro called out to her. Right, she's going to town again, but this time instead of her father figure, she's going with Tanjiro, whom she treated as her brother figure.

"Eh, how come Mayu-nee can come but I can't?" Hanako's upset voice was heard. Mayu chuckled before giving Hanako a pat on the head. "Well, it's not like it's my first time descending the mountain during the winter." Mayu explained, seeing the girl's pouty face, she tried to convince her more. "Besides, I need to deliver these perfumes to those women in town."

"I told you, you can't; Mayu is the only one who can walk fast like your brother, and she also used to go with your father, so she's going to be fine." The motherly voice of Kie behind them got Mayu's attention.

Tanjiro talked with his siblings for a moment, still trying to tell them that they could not come with them, while Mayu just observed the siblings interaction.

Finally convincing his siblings, Tanjiro bid goodbye. "Well then, we'll go now, Mom, everyone." Mayu just waved her hand to them, being a person who really doesn't talk often. "Hurry back, okay?" "Take care," the voices of Shigeru and Hanako echoed.

Walking ahead, Tanjiro and Mayu noticed Nezuko with a sleeping Rokuta on her back. "Brother! Mayu!" Nezuko called out.

"I was putting Rokuta down for a nap, or he'd make a scene when you leave." "He misses Dad a lot since he passed away; that's why everyone's following you wherever you go, Nezuko explained. Mayu silently agreed to her statement; ever since their father died, everyone's been following Tanjiro wherever he goes given that he's the oldest sibling.

"Mayu, I see that you bring your bow and arrow with you." Nezuko took notice of the weapon Mayu has on her back right now. "Just self-defense, a bear might attack us on the way you know?" Mayu just reasoned. 

Nezuko just laughed at Mayu's reasoning before bidding them goodbye. "See you later!"

Giving Nezuko a smile, both Mayu and Tanjiro descended the mountain without knowing what the future held for them.

𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗧 the village, Mayu and Tanjiro noticed the townspeople cleaning the snow that covered the road, and getting ready for the day.

"Well now, Tanjiro, Mayu! I can't believe the two of you came down from the mountain on a day like this!" the voice of an elderly woman called out to the both of them.

A few other people's voices were also heard. Older people asking Tanjiro for help and buying his charcoal, while Mayu was with children asking her to play and read a book for them.
