Akira p.o.v.

“Let's see what we have in store for you next! Will your wildest fantasies come to life? What could it be? The wait is torture! Prepare yourselves…” Midnight exclaimed, letting the hologram behind her to start picking.

“..for this!” She declared, showing a picture of the next round.

“A cavalry battle? I'm terrible at those…” Kaminari grumbled.

“It's not an individual event... I wonder how they'll split us up.” Asui stated, placing a finger under her chin.

“Allow me to explain. The participants will form teams of two to four people as they see fit. It clearly is basically the same as a regular playground game. But there is one difference... Each player has been assigned a point value based on the results from the obstacle course.” She added.

“I get it, a point-based system like the entrance exams. That seems pretty simple.” Sato muttered.

“So that means each team will have a different point value based on which students are on it..” Uraraka thought out loud, making Ashido agree with the girl.

“Maybe you should shut up and let me explain things to you!” Midnight snapped at the murmuring students.

Another hologram appeared behind the hero.

“Now, the point assignments go up by implements of five, starting from the bottom. For example, the 55th place is worth 5 points, and 54th is worth 10. And the point value assigned to the first-place contestant is... 10 Million!” She said as Midoriya's expression went from zero-to-a-hundred real fast. His face turned pale, like all the colors drained from his very existence as he felt all eyes stare at him with a glare.

"That's right. It's survival of the fittest, with a chance for those at the bottom to overthrow the top!” Midnight exclaimed.

“First years! These are the rules that you'll abide by. The game itself will last fifteen minutes. Individual point values will be added together to reach your team total. Everyone will know how much you're worth thanks to your headbands. Swipe as many headbands as you can to raise your team's score. Stolen headbands must be worn from the neck up. So the more you steal, the harder it'll be to manage them. And another thing, even if your headband gets stolen or your team falls down, you can keep playing until time's up.” Midnight explained.

“It's anyone's game then.” Yaoyorozu mumbled.

“Yeah, and since there are over 50 contestants, there'll be 16 or 20 teams fighting the entire time.” Sato agreed.

“Sounds hard.” Aoyama muttered.

“So, if you lose your headband at the beginning, you have more time to make up a plan.” Mina hypothesized, facing Tsu.

“I don't know, Mina. Maybe we should wait and see how the teams turn out before we start strategizing.” Tsu said.

“This is going to be rough. You may use your quirks as much as you like. But, there are still rules. Make a team fall on purpose, and I'll slap you with a red card. You'll be disqualified.” Midnight announced, then a timer appeared behind Midnight.

“Now, you've got fifteen minutes to build your teams. I recommend you get started.” She added as Shoto looked at me as I looked at him.

‘Akira, do you want to be on my team?’ Shoto thought in the mindlink as I nodded at him with my usual stoic expression on my face as he walked to Iida and Yaoyorozu.

“Hello, lida.” I said quietly with my usual stoic expression on my face and my hands together in a standing position as I walked up to him. He gave me a quick nod at my approach.

“lida!” Midoriya said as he came running up to him with Uraraka while I walked up to Shoto and Yaoyorozu.

“You would be perfect for our team! With lida as our front with Uraraka and I on the sides, we can form a solid horse. My plan is to pretty much run away the whole time.” He explained.

“A good strategy, but I'm sorry.” lida said, keeping his head low. “But I'm afraid I must refuse your offer.” He added.

The two raised an eyebrow at him in confusion.

“Since this all started, I've been losing to you. Please don't take this as an insult, you're a great friend. But if I continue to follow you, I'll never get stronger.” lida confessed, then looked straight at him in the eye.

“Bakugo, Todoroki, and Kuran have challenged you already. But they aren't the only ones who see you as a rival.” He added, then walked away, over to Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, and me.

“Midoriya, I'll try my best to defeat you.” He said.

“Oh, okay I understand. ” Midoriya said, slightly disappointed.

lida went and joined Shoto, Momo, and me.

“Akira has come up with a formation that will be the most stable.” Shoto said.

“She will guard our left, keeping enemies away with her butterflies. Yaoyorozu, you take the right and be our main defense. lida, you will be our front horse because of your speed and mobility. I will be the rider and hold people off with my ice.” He added.

“Why not your fire as well?” Yaoyorozu asked.

“Then Akira can rely more on her abilities.” She added.

“Not quite, when I am in battle, I never use my left side in battle.” Shoto said, glancing up at the stands and saw someone watching him.

“Akira, who is that person that is watching me from up there?” He added as I looked at where he glanced up as I look at where he is looking at and frowned at the man with my usual stoic expression on my face and my hands together in a standing position.

“Toga Yagari, a vampire hunter who hunts pureblood vampires like my uncle Kaien.” I said quietly with my usual stoic expression on my face and my hands together in a standing position.
