"Fuffy!" A cheer erupted through the room as the lone princess of the palace held up her stuffed monkey.
The mother of the princess chuckled as she kneeled beside her daughter's playpen.
"You found Fluffy?!" She jokingly questioned, the girl held the monkey up to her mother, "Fuffy!" The girl cheered again.
Talia giggled as she gently plucked the soft toy from the girl's tiny hands.
The girl looked at her mother curiously before the woman disappeared behind the stuffed monkey.
"Hello! I'm Fluffy!" The 'toy monkey' greeted.
The princess gasped as the animal spoke to her. "I love you Y/N! Do you love me?!"
The girl eagerly shook her head, "Yah!"
The 'plush toy' giggled before answering, "That makes me soo happy!" The princess giggled as 'Fluffy' swooped down in the playpen and began to tickle her.
"No! Fuffy!" The girl hugged the toy tightly to stop the tickling, though she was surprised to see her mother was the true culprit.
"MAMA! NO!" Talia pulled her hands from the screaming girl, she chuckled after watching the girl gain her breath before she pouted glared at her mother.
Talia held her hand close to her mouth to prevent herself from laughing. "Oh don't be angry at me flower. I'm sorry!" She apologized.
The girl continued pouting earning a sigh from her mother.
The mother didn't get to gain the girl's good side as a knock resonated through the room.
Talia raised a brow as she stood up to answer the door.
"Mama!" The mother looked at her daughter who raised her arms to be held.
Talia smiled, "No longer mad at me?" She teased the girl.
The child was too focused on the door, hoping to see her father on the other side.
Talia was curious as well and spoke loudly, "Come in!" She urged from the middle of the room.
The door slid open and to the surprise of the mother and daughter, the empress of the palace stood in the doorway, of course, accompanied by guards holding their posts.
"Wait here." The woman ordered the men before stepping into the bedroom of the mother and daughter.
Her elegantly cold glare slowly dispersed as the door slid closed.
"My empress." Talia stepped forward bowing to the woman, earning a giggle.
"You know there's no need for that when we're alone. I'm not that important." Talia frowned at the woman's words.
She felt honored to be able to address the woman so informally, it let her know how close they truly are, that even ranks couldn't separate them.
Though to hear the woman dismiss her on authority so blatantly...
