Chapter Six

I awoke the next morning to Tyler being gone, but when I checked my phone I had a text from him.

Tyler: "Don't forget about us, Elle. And please don't cry, because I know that you're trying not to right now. You're too beautiful to waste your tears on me...and remember, always remember that I'm just a call away. If you need anything, I'll be there."

"P.S. Please give your dad a chance. -T xoxo"

I looked at that message for what felt like a million years, thinking endlessly of words to say to him, as I heard the door unlock from downstairs. Riley must've just gotten home. I now glanced over at my clock to reveal that it was 6:00am. I looked down at the message again, and when I glanced up at my door I saw Riley standing there.

"What exactly happened between you and Tyler last night?" When he got home he looked sad, and just went up to his room and went to bed" "when did he get home last night?" "Don't you remember? You were with him last." Riley said, giving me a questionable look. "No, I fell asleep and when I woke up, he was gone" "oh. I'm sorry. He didn't get home until around 3am. Dean and I thought that you guys-" "oh! No, we didn't. When he came back we went to the house and cuddled until I passed out" "Aw, you guys are so cute! And about damn time, geez" Riley said, making me laugh, before she added "So I'm guessing he told you about..." "yeah." I said, lowering my head. "The last thing he said to dean was that he had to do something important, and that he would be back later" "oh." I said, blushing.

"Are you sure that you guys didn't-" "Oh my god. Yes Riley, I'm sure." Riley raised a brow then said "then what's with the face?" "He kissed me." "What?? That's great. How did he do it?" "Well, we were at the park and-" "Elenora Shireton! Are you telling me that you went to the park late last night after we dropped you off?" "...maybe." I said, making Riley give me "the look"  then said "okay, continue." Making us both laugh. "We were talking, and then he said that I was beautiful, and that he was stupid because he should've done it a long time ago, and he kissed me" "oh my god!! That's so romantic!" "It was" I said dreamily, before I asked Riley why she was out so late last night. "Well, after Tyler left, everyone else left and Dean and I hung out in the backyard by the pool, and we were talking, and I looked away for a second when I heard Tyler come home, and when I turned back around, Dean kissed me!" "Oh my god!" "I know!" Riley said as we both squealed in excitement. "So what happened after that?" "I kissed him back of course!" Riley said, laughing. "Well, after that miss obvious" "He smiled and said he wants to do some more of that, so we kissed until we started making out, and here's the crazy part! So you know how Dean is the school player?" "Yeah, why?" "Well, when we were making out you could say that he got...um, excited" Riley said laughing, and blushing, then added "but then he stopped kissing me, and blushed, then apologized!" "What?? Dean actually has a shy side?" "I guess so, but you can't tell anyone!" "I won't! I promise" "okay, good. So after that he stood up, and outstretched his hand to help me up, and we walked to our cars, and he said goodnight, then he turned around and kissed me again, then drove off" "oh my god! I never thought that dean would have a soft side for someone." "Me neither, but I'd like to get to know it some more" Riley said as she winked and said "I'm going out, I might go shopping or get my nails done. Want to come?" I smiled, but then said "Not today, Riley. I think I might try to get ahold of my dad." "Oh, okay. Well tell me how it goes, okay?" She said as she smiled, and then left.

It was now just me again, alone in this big house. I wasn't exactly sure if I wanted to call my dad today, I just didn't want to go out today.

After I got out of the shower, I brushed my hair and sat down on my bed and watched cartoons until about 1:00. Now what? I thought to myself then remembered mom saying that she hid dads letters from me. I wonder where they'd be. They have to be somewhere in this house. So I decided to begin my search.
