Lan Wangji glances at Wei Wuxian's position from afar. He watches how the latter smile at every little thing. Watch how he laughs openly without fear of expressing himself. Watch him wave at him with the warmest greetings he ever experienced.

Watch himself enjoy the happiness bestowed on him. Watch himself dig into a deeper abyss and let himself be swallowed by it.

Lan Wangji gave a light wave and glance at Nie Huaisang who nodded at him. After the incident where Wei Wuxian fainted in his arms, Lan Wangji had become even more protective than ever and never let anyone unless his trusted person take care of Wei Wuxian.

He also noticed the overprotectiveness of his family and even told the teachers to not be so strict with him.

Well, he too spoils the troublemaker so much. Wen Qing told him to never let Wei Wuxian stress over something, nor do any extraneous activity. He was also told about the food and drinks he is allowed to intake. His family also change the menu to cater to Wei Wuxian's taste and never, ever never let him be alone again which resulted in to change of rooms where his and Wei Wuxian's rooms are just a wall apart.

"Wangji.." the female voice interrupted his monologue. He turns his head towards Feng An who is staring at him, "you left me..."

"I know.." he replied flatly, not even giving any explanation for his actions that day.

"It was supposed to be my happy day!" Feng An hissed completely angered by Lan Wangji's action, completely forgetting that they are still inside the classroom.

"I know... And I have no excuse..."

Feng An trembled at Lan Wangji's passiveness. The golden hues were clear as a day without stains of regret.

"Is it because of the third wheel again?"

"His name is Wei Ying.." Lan Wangji growled, "not the third wheel.."

"What? Going to defend him?! Wangji... I am your girlfriend! I am your bathrobe and engaged to be married, you cannot abandon me just because a certain someone called you because he's lonely!" Feng An trembled in anger, "you were not like this before! What did he do to you? Hah! I know... That bastard did you—"

However, Feng An did not finish her words when she felt the brooding eyes laid on her. Lan Wangji's coldness permeated the classroom, some stared at her and some chose to go out before Lan Wangji lash out.

The warning is visible, never angry a calm man.

"Shut up..." Lan Wangji said staring at her, "another word... I'll make you shut up..."

Lan Wangji strode off to find Wei Wuxian out the field, leaving a stunned Feng An in anger.

Feng An knew that Lan Wangji will never like her. The rejection is real, so noticeable but she persevered for five years ever since she was in middle school. She fell in love with a stoic man. A cold man so distant, so hard to achieve.

She had done everything she could to earn his attention, his love, but her efforts were destroyed by the simple call, "please... Be with me, Lan Zhan..."

She changed herself from a geek to a school heartthrob. Practice her ways to dance beautifully and play a song so serene. She exerted effort in academics to ace her subjects in the hope to reach his place.
