/Hospital Bed\3/Augustus POV\

Matt was in the hospital currently for severe head injuries and almost DROWNING. Gus sat by his side as he watched Matt's heart monitor beep. Gus looked at him who was asleep with bandages wrapped tight around his head and a hospital gown on his body. Gus held Matt's cold hand, quietly humming to himself sadly. He heard a knock on the door and saw Luz's head peak in, "Gus come eat. You have too." Gus looked at Matt and sighed, "Yeah I'm on my way." He stood up, sliding his chair in. He glanced around the room and then hugged Matt, pecking his cheek, "I love you Matty." He turned and left the room.

He walked down the hall and down the stairs towards the cafeteria. He pushed open the doors and saw the group of friends sitting around a table, with Eda being their parental guardian. The group was quiet as Gus entered the room towards the table and sat down. The group looked at him in silence and then Amity spoke up in genuine concern, "How's he doing?" Gus poked at his spaghetti, "His heart pace is back to normal, just a tiny bit slower." Amity relaxed her shoulders as Luz comforted her. He felt a hand rub Gus' back, it was Hunter. "I understand it's rough." Gus looked down sadly, "Rough? You have no idea." Gus pulled his knees to his chest and put his head down and cried softly, "I hate this...why is he being hurt so much. He's so irresponsible but it wasn't his fault this time, someone hurt him. And I swear on the Titan if I find out who..." He looked up as his eyes were that cyan color, and they were also...smoking? Hunter pulled Gus in for a hug. Willow finished eating and then looked at the door that exited the building, "Say. It's kind of odd that Boscha hasn't yet to even visit a member of her team in the hospital. Like the whole team has visited him, except Boscha." Luz sighed, "I'm betting it was his mother. You told me how insane she was, so it wouldn't surprise me if she tried to kill Matt after she saw him kiss you." The group sat there in silence for a while until a nurse came on the intercom, "Uhhh...Augustus Porter. Patient in room 127 has wanted to see you!" Gus wiped tears and ran from the cafeteria towards the second floor.

He climbed the stairs and pushed open a door to see Matt laying down, facing the window (not facing him) Gus walked over and sat in the chair by his bed. Matt rolled over and smiled dimly when he saw Gus, "Hey..." Gus looked at him, "I'm glad you're finally awake. I've been sitting here for like a day or so." Matt laughed, "Why?" Gus stood up and sat on the end of Matt's bed, "Because, I love you." Matt blushed and looked up at the ceiling. The room was decorated with flowers in vases. Matt inhaled and sat up and sat on the edge of his bed with Gus, who put his arm around Matt gently, "Back at the creek, who attacked you?" Matt looked down at his hands and then touched his eyes, "No clue. I was blindfolded before I could catch a glimpse. Not to fear though, I did a good mark on whoever it was! I used my magic and cut through their face. I heard them yell in pain!" Gus laughed, "Still the same person I remember." Matt put his hand on top of Gus' hand and laid his head on his shoulder. Gus looked at him, teary eyed, I hate this...he looks so miserable. I just wish he didn't get hurt. Matt kissed Gus lightly, "I'll be fine. I swear." Matt embraced him as Gus cried softly into Matt's injured shoulder. Matt blushed and pat Gus back, unsure how to help him, "Hey...I'm awake, see? I'll probably be let free in like...an hour." The nurse poked her head in, "Matt, you have another visitor." Steve also poked his head in, waving gently. Matt smiled, but not letting go of Gus' hand, "Gus. Since I started hanging with you...I've been happier than ever." Steve sat down on the chair and Matt inhaled and looked at Gus. Gus saw Matt's smug face, Oh my Titan what's this idiot about to do. Steve looked at him in curiosity, "So how are you doing?" Matt looked at his brother, "Good. Can I...tell you something?" Steve tilted his head, "Of course you can tell me anything!" Matt adjusted his forehead bandages, "So...Me and Augustus..." Gus looked at him, I forgot he called me that. Steve smiled, still listening. "Him and I are a thing...like a couple." Matt said, rubbing him arm, making the bandages come loose. Gus gave him a look as Matt realized what he did. Gus scooted over and got on his knees, rewrapping the bandages, "Idiot, why would you do that." Steve laughed and pat his brother's back, whispering but Gus could hear them, "Yeah he's definitely a keeper, Matty." The nurse stepped in with a doctor, "Augustus and Steve please exit the room, we must run some tests on Matt." Gus waved to Matt and Steve hugged him.

Steve followed Gus down to the cafeteria, "So. You're dating my brother?" Gus walked with hands in his pocket, "Mhm." Steve pushed open the door and held it for Gus, "Just keep taking care of him please? He's a handful, chaotic, and sometimes a jerk. But if you're nice to him, he'll repay you." Steve looked around and then smiled, "And plus, I could deal with a sick brother-in-law like you one day." Gus blushed, "We're only thirteen and fourteen!" Steve laughed and pat Gus' shoulder, "I think I'll grow quite fond of you. Didn't Matt pick on you at some point in time?" Gus laughed nervously, "Yeah. But it was minor not like Boscha and Willow. He just kind of...teased me and um...stole my place as HAS president temporarily, and...pinned me against a...you know what? Never mind." Steve snickered, "Yeah. I could never pull anyone, like relationship." Gus looked confused, "What do you...OH!" He answered his own question at Steve's laugh.

The two boys sat down at the round table with all the other people in the group. The group's sad and depressing aura vanished as they were playing some game. Amity was quietly yelling at Hunter while they were playing and then her voice softened, "How's he doing?" Gus placed his hand on the table, "Yeah, he's alright. He's able to move and sit up." Eda sat there, picking gunk from her teeth, "So Steve...do you and my sister have a thing for each other?" Lilith sat up, spitting food from her mouth and Steve stood frozen, he shook his head violently as Lilith took a napkin and cleaned the table, "Sorry sister, that just caught me off guard!" Steve scooted his seat close, "Yeah, Eda. We are both...not interested in a relationship? Also huge age gap and the list goes on...we're totally platonic!" Eda looked embarrassed, "Ah. My bad you two. Your missing out though." She kissed Raine's head while they were asleep. Gus looked under the table and around it Huh. Everyone is here. For Matt. Kinda sweet?
Raine sat directly in front of him, sleeping.
Eda sat on their left, sulking in embarrassment.
Lilith sat next to her, eating chips.
Steve sat next to Gus with his feet in the chair.
Luz sat next to him sketching a sleeping king who was sleeping next to her.
On a separate table; Hunter, Amity, Willow, and Vee played a human game called, "Sorry"?
A human named Masha watched with their head on her shoulder, helping Vee with strategies. Gus watched as all the couples talked with each other, flirting and laughing. And then there was him, lonely, his boyfriend was the reason they were all here. Hunter accidentally yelled suddenly, Gus jumped and began to get scared. He breathed in and out but it didn't work, he was anxious and remembered what happened the night of the attack, the sudden roar, him being taken from Matt and then finding him almost dead in a creek. Luz placed his hand on Gus' shoulder while he panicked, "Gus. Gus! Are you okay? Breathe Gus." No no no no...I'm causing a scene...why am I like this? Luz tried to encourage him out of it; it worked and Gus calmed down. Luz realized this and pulled him in for a hug, "He'll be fine Gus, trust me." He balled up in Luz's arms, "Thanks for looking out for me."

A nurse came in the room and towards the group's table, "Alright you tw- eleven, time to go. Visiting hours for Mattholomule are over." Gus sat up and looked at her in excitement, "How is he doing?" The nurse used a spell circle and gathered all the dishes, "He's fine, he's got a minor ear infection, infected wounds, and major second degree burns on his back, shoulder, and thigh. He's got like a week left of hospital time." She used her magic to finish putting the game in the box and drifted it into Amity's hands. Gus sighed sadly. He saw Eda and Raine looking at each other in confusion, "Burn marks? But Sarah doesn't have fire, she's in the Construction Coven...how?" Gus felt angry and slammed his hands on the table, "Think about it guys. It had to be a student, no coven I'm aware of had powers and we can't remove sigils yet." The group we're thinking, and then it clicked in Gus' head. He ran super fast from the room and down the halls; past doctors and janitors. Gus climbed the stairs and entered Matt's room, "Matt. Matt. I know you're trying to sleep but listen to me." Matt rolled over and groaned, "Listen doctor- Augustus?! You're not supposed to be here." Gus walked over to him, looking over his shoulder, "Listen. Take your shirt off. Don't question I know it sounds weird but I need to see your burn marks." Matt shrugged his shoulders, "Alright I guess." He removed his shirt and turned his back to Gus who lightly touched the bandaged wound, "Tell me when I hurt you, okay?" Matt rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah." Gus unraveled the bandage to reveal a burn mark with a circular shape, a grudgby ball engraved in the center of the burn. Oh my Titan. I knew it. Boscha.

Woah Matt in the hospital, sounds like him. Alright I'll write another chptr tomorrow stay safe my lovelies <3 (also I will not be making inappropriate chapters even when their older.)
