I have moved on
and I am with a person
who every day envelops me
with all the love I need
and gives me all that
that you could never offer me.
But as Bukowski also wrote,
you remain the love of my life
because you resist,
even though I have stopped loving you
and wanting you in my future
A long... long time ago
Io non ti amo più.
Sono andata avanti
e sto con una persona
che ogni giorno mi avvolge
con tutto l'amore di cui ho bisogno
e mi dà tutto quello
che tu non potresti mai offrirmi.
Però come scrisse anche Bukowski,
tu rimani l'amore della mia vita
perché resisti,
anche se io ho smesso di amarti
e di volerti nel mio futuro

after rereading Bukowski's letter to Sofia for the 28th time, it occurred to me to write this poem (i know at the end of the letter it doesn't read like that but i wanted to interpret it a bit in my own way). I hope you like it<3
