"Why are they behaving like this?" She spoke with her hand below her chin.

"Even I am confused. It is far beyond my level of understanding." The other person sitting beside her spoke acting in the same manner as her and shook his head disappointedly.

"Maybe I did something wrong Papa."

"No beta, it is not your fault." He patted her head with sympathy.

The matter was...Imlie and King Amar were sitting in the garden on a bench in the evening, watching the two five year olds playing with the wooden swords that their father had specially made for them.

"Then papa, why did they turn out like this? I mean children of their age should jump around, play hide and seek, climb the trees, should whine about eating food, should give me a hard time chasing behind them, their clothes spoiled with mud while playing in it, but no...why?? I just want them to you know....just behave like two normal five year old children but look at them." She spoke again pointing in the direction of those little ones who were playing with swords, that too following all the rules and manners that their father had taught them.

The thing was she was complaining about her children to King Amar. Well...she was not wrong exactly. Her children were way too mature and sophisticated for their own age. They always ate quietly whenever she fed them, never ruined their clothes dirty, never gave her a hard time, always listened to her, never spilled food while eating...in short, they were what they called obedient good children.

Usually parents would get happy if their children listened to them but that was not the case with Imlie. She was traumatised with the fact that her children were not normal.

"It is all your husband's and my son's fault." King spoke showing frustration and continued, "I thought they will turn mischievous and we four would turn out to be a team to cause trouble for everyone. But NO. They turned out to be all monotonous just like their father. Why did they not inherit anything from you?" King pretended to be mad at his son as if he was the biggest reason of a let down.

Well...he was almost correct to be honest.

Imlie nodded to what her father said.

They are the precise replicas of my husband...Why god why? Atleast you should have made one out of them like me...she looked up at the sky and complained.

"If they were like us papa, just think about how much how fun it would be to annoy Aryan as a team?" She spoke excitedly looking at him.

King nodded excitedly and continued imagining the scenario, "And just think how much fun it would be to annoy your mother all the time? Think about her frustrated face."

Both giggled looking at each other but then looked at the two children who were bowing down to each other before starting fencing again.

Then again their happy dream was broken and they both sighed together with their heads in their hands.

"It is good that atleast they are mature because apparently we have a grown up child in this house." Queen Ananya who was listening to their conversation in hiding, came in front and scowled at King Amar.

King instantly got up and spoke, "No no dear. We were just joking around, right Suhaasi beta?"

Imlie nodded and spoke supporting her father, "Yes yes Maa. Papa never thinks about troubling you."

And before Queen could scold him any further, they heard their happy yells.

"Papa! Papa!"

Imlie turned around and saw Aryan coming towards them after attending a royal court meeting with the royal ministers. The children ran and jumped on him while he bent down and lifted them in his each arm. They both gave sloppy kisses to him on each cheek. He kissed them on their foreheads in return.
