Climbing the wall?

"Imlie, why are you standing here? Let's go and meet everyone ." Princess Arpita came and called her out.

Imlie immediately averted her eyes from the Prince and said,". Sure. I am sorry Princess, I zoned out for a moment. "

They went and greeted the elders of the royal family.
They introduced her to few people there.

Princess was getting bored with all the royal talks.
There were some fun games arranged in the royal garden.

She wanted to have fun but considering that she was princess she knew if her mother got even a slightest of idea that she wanted to go even before the 'royal introduction',
she would hear about it later on.

It was not that queen restricted her all the time just because she was a girl
In fact Queen Ananya was herself a very outspoken woman but in a elegant way.
So sometimes she scolded her daughter but only so that she doesn't get fooled by outside world.
She knew Princess was really soft natured ,so she just wanted her to be strong by being hard on her.

Imlie saw Princess sulkingly standing in the corner.
"Are you feeling well , Princess?"Imlie went there and asked.

In last one day from what Imlie had observed Princess was very cheerful person
Seeing her like this, she couldn't stop herself.

She went and asked her,
"Are you feeling well, Princess?"
"Imlie I told you not to call me Princess."she irked.
"Fine. Arpi, is that okay?"
"It is more than okay. It is great"she smiled at her widely.
Imlie saw how easy it was to make her smile.

"Imlie , you are the first girl who I like so much. You know, I know other girls who are princesses from other kingdoms whom I meet usually in these kind of functions.
But I never got along with them. All they talk about is Princes all day. But you are different."
"How could you figure that out Arpi? You hardly know me."She smirked at the princess.

"True. I don't know you properly. But I saw you with sword that night it means you probably are good at it. So I admire you for being a person who can protect herself and travel everywhere whereas Maa never allows me to go out without a lane of guards..."she complained but stopped suddenly.

Imlie was silently listening to everything.

"No. No . It is not that I do not love her. I love her a lot but she puts so many restrictions ...and I know you might be thinking me as a spoiled child who is whining about being a princess and..."she again stopped.

"It is completely fine to feel like that Arpi and No! I do not think you are being a spoilt child. All the things that you mentioned right now have nothing do with you being whiny."Imlie smiled at her and replied.

Continuing ,she added," Because from what I see is that along with a Princess you are your own person. Therefore it is quite normal to have your own dreams and your own way to live life. But I would also like to add that Queen is not wrong either.
I mean I obviously have no right to comment on your relationship but from what I have observed she loves you a lot and that is why she behaves with you the way she does maybe."
Princess was confused at the last statement.

Imlie explained further, "She worries about you. Can I say something as your friend?"
Princess nodded.

"You are very sweet and kind hearted person Arpi and Queen doesn't want the world to take advantage of you. That is why she is protecting you though not in a way that you want but in a way she thinks is appropriate.She doesn't want you to get hurt.
In a manner of fact, you are very lucky princess to be blessed by such a loving family.And there is nothing wrong to live the way you want. You just have to prove to your mother that you can protect yourself."
