"Maaaaaaa...Papaaaaa..."
King and Queen came running in the direction of scream of their daughter Imlie who was standing in the main royal hall at the end of the stairs looking completely annoyed.
"What happened beta? Are you alright?" Queen asked worriedly checking her if there was anything wrong.
"Are you hurt? Do you need anything?" King himself brought water for her and made her sit down.
She huffed and her eyes were already welled up, "Maa...Papa... I am leaving. I cannot do this anymore. I am exhausted."
King and Queen looked at each other helplessly and patted her head. Everyone in the royal palace was circling around her, trying to console her.
"Bhabhi, should I bring your favourite sweets?" Princess Arpita asked sweetly.
"Bhabhi maybe I should take you to a puppet show. I heard it is very good and..."
Before he could complete the sentence, Imlie started crying after listening to Madhav. King and Queen looked at him shockingly while he felt a strong glare from his newly wedded wife, Princess Arpita.
Correct it...NOW...His wife's glare clearly meant that.
He immediately went near Imlie and kneeled down, "Behnaa, I apologise. I did not mean to hurt you. Please forgive me. I will do anything that you ask me of."
The other three smacked their own forehead. Imlie immediately stopped crying and looked at him with tear filled eyes, "You will? Really Madhav Bhaiya?"
Madhav nodded and there was an instant smile on her face. She got up with a jerk excitedly.
"Be careful, bacha." Queen told her, holding and rubbing her arms. She nodded and turned to Madhav with a smile, "Fine Madhav Bhaiya. We should leave for a puppet show that you are talking about." She clapped excitedly.
Fear towered on Madhav's face and he could hear Prince Aryan's words echoing in his ears.
"Do not allow her to go outside the palace."
He spoke slowly and carefully framing every word, "Behnaa...forgive me, but your highness has strictly denied you to go outside in this condition."
"Just for a while beta, after that we will go and do everything fun. Just wait for sometime." King tried to pacify her.
She huffed and walked towards him with her hand on her heavily pregnant stomach. She spoke angrily, "For sometime? Sometime? I have been inside this palace since nine months. I have not stepped outside the palace gates. I am allowed to walk in the garden only if I am surrounded by one family member and dozen guards. I mean who walks inside the palace with guards? And if that was not enough, your son arranged this..." she spoke absolutely frustrated in a one go and pointed towards the helping staff who was bringing carriage down the stairs.
"What is this doing here?" King asked with a perplexed reaction.
"Ask your son. Apparently he thinks in my condition, I should not stress myself while walking. So he went ahead, arranged this carriage and now expects me to roam around from one chamber to another in carriage." She finished it when her eyes started tearing up again.
"What is wrong with Aru?" Queen whispered to king hoping that his son handles this soon and stops his parade of concern for Imlie.
"Do not ask me. The rate at which your son is going, I will not be surprised if he vanishes one day facing his wife's wrath." King sighed.
"Your highness this carriage...." One of the guard asked her and before that person could complete his sentence, she blasted. To which, he ran away from there all scared.
