Locked up?

It had been a while since they were waiting for her to wake up.

"I think we should head back to palace. She should be awake by now. If she is not, it might be due to some injury we don't know about." Prince Aryan told Madhav.
"Okay as you say, your highness. But what should we do about her?"
"What do you mean by that Madhav? Of course, we are taking back her with us to the palace" Aryan told him as if he was stating the obvious fact.
"But your highness, we do not know who she is. It is clear that she was fighting.
Who knows she might be a spy from other kingdom or someone dangerous?
It would be foolish to take her at royal place. She might be a danger and..."
Before Madhav could complete his sentence, Prince Aryan cut him off
" What is wrong with you Madhav? I did not think of you as so insensitive towards someone who is injured. She is not even conscious at the moment. How can an injured woman be danger to us? Besides we cannot leave her in this state."
"But what if your majesty...."
"I will have a talk with father about this. Now if you are done with your interrogation , shall we move?" saying this he moved ahead and picked the woman in his arms and placed her on his horse while climbing it.
Madhav didn't dare to question any more.

Even though Prince Aryan was his friend and he knew that he was very calm person but he was also aware of the fact that once Aryan decided something he would never back out.
He had always helped the people of his kingdom.

So even though he was wary of Prince Aryan's decision, he decided to just go ahead with it and if that woman posed even a little threat to prince,he would make sure to remove her out of the way.
They took off to the palace.

At night

Princess Arpita was sitting near the window looking outside, when she saw his brother coming back.
But it wasn't her brother what surprised her at that moment,it was the woman who was in his brother's arms.
She suddenly got down and ran towards the main hall of the palace where her brother would enter.

She collided with her mother and father who were walking down the hall to the garden area for a night walk.
"Princess, how many times have I...?"

Before her mother could start her scolding lesson, she interrupted and spoke in really fast manner while trying to catch her breath,
" Maa,bhaibroughtagirltothepalaceandheiscarryingherinhisarmsmaybeheiscourtingher"she said in one breath.
"Beta are we still speaking our language or you have learned new one?" Her father said jokingly.
"Papa, what I am about to say is nothing less surprising than speaking a new language. In fact it is even more surprising."she said with a smirk.
Her parents looked at her in a confusing manner.
"So...the thing is bhai brought a girl to the palace and he was carrying her in his arms ,maybe he is courting her"she finished with waving hands as if she was telling them a big news.
But for Rathores, it was kind of a big news.
"Okay,so what is a big matter if Aryan brought a girl...."king started saying but suddenly stopped realising what she said.
"Is this the truth?"queen Ananya asked.
"Yes Maa , I would have greeted them if you didn't stop me in between "
Princess Arpita told them cheekily.
"Who is she? What does she do? From which kingdom she belongs?Is she beautiful?"queen kept asking her the questions.
"Well we can know answers only when we meet her. "
"But where are they?"king asked
At the same time, Madhav came.
"Greetings, your majesty"he bowed to King and queen
"Greetings your highness "he then greeted Princess Arpita.
"Ahh Madhav, No need to be so formal. I told you before, you are like my son. "King patted his back and smiled.
Queen also smiled at him and asked, "Madhav beta what is this we are hearing about the girl prince brought along with him?"
"Your majesty, Prince Aryan has taken that lady to the guest room."
Then he explained everything to them.
"So you don't know who she is? And still prince brought her to the palace?"queen asked him.
She was was wary of this girl whose background they had no idea of.
"It's completely fine, dear. She was injured. Prince did exactly what he thought as a right thing to do and you know him he doesn't take any decisions without any base"
King calmed the queen.
This was the quality that Prince Aryan inherited from his father about giving benefit of doubt but also staying cautious side by side.
"I am not saying that it's wrong to help her but bringing her to palace is a huge thing."
Queen explained.
"Well why don't we meet her then and we can judge for ourselves?" King spoke.
