I woke up early Saturday morning, so I would have enough time to shower and do my hair and make up. I curled my hair into long waves and did a natural shade of make up.
After that, I changed into a pastel, minty green summer dress. As the clock got closer to the time of Harry's arrival, I slid on my white heals and grabbed my matching hand bag.
A knock sounded at the door. I looked at my reflection in a near by mirror. "Ew," I mumbled to myself. I opened the door and was met by Harry, leaning against the door frame with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
"Hello," he smiles, "these are for you."
"Thank you," I smile and take the flowers. "Do you wanna come inside, while I put these in a vase?"
"Sure. You look beautiful by the way," he says. My back is to him, but if he could see me, I would have the biggest grin on my face.
"Thanks," I turn to look at him. "You look rather handsome yourself."
"I try." He fixes the collar on his suit. I roll my eyes in a humorous way.
After I put the flowers in the vase, we headed to the wedding.
"So what's your cousins name?" I ask in the car.
"Sophia. She's marrying this guy named Liam. I've never met him before, but I hear he's all nice and proper and shit."
"That's interesting."
"Oh! And you're going to get to meet my mum, Gemma, and Robin. You'll like Gemma."
"Hopefully she'll like me too."
"Of course she will. You're a likable person."
We pull into the parking lot, by the wedding venue. I wiped my hands on my dress, a nervous habit.
"Ready?" Harry asked.
"Yep," I nod and we get out of the car. He sticks his arm out for me to take, and I oblige. We walk in sync like a pair of children.
"Harry!" Someone calls. We both look up.
"Oh no," he mumbles.
"How the hell are you? Who's this? Why haven't you answered any of our calls?" Two boys interrogate Harry. One had messy brown hair, the other blonde hair that spiked at the top. You could tell he was a natural brunette by his dark roots, though.
"Eden-" Harry begins, but is interrupted by the blonde one.
"Eden. What a lovely name. I'm Niall," he smiles. Harry moves his hand around my waist and pulls me closer to his side. The one with brown hair raises his eyebrow.
"Eden, this is Niall and Louis. We went to Uni together. Niall and Louis, this is Eden my friend."
Friend zoned.
"Suuurrreee," one said, as the other made kissy faces.
"Nice to see neither of you have changed since Uni. Now if you'll excuse me," Harry takes my hand and pulls me away from them and to the seats.
"Wha-"
"Don't ask."
I nod and we sit through the ceremony. During their vows I got a little teary eyed, and felt Harry take my hand in his for comfort.
I leaned my head on his shoulder, praying he didn't mind. When he rubbed my hand, my question was answered.
•
I met his family shortly after the ceremony. We were both having a good time dancing, talking with his family, and drinking.
"Do you want another drink?" Harry asked. I nodded. I should probably stop after this one. Harry and I were both drunk and now had no way to get home.
"Hey Eden," Gemma says.
"Hi," I grin.
"Are you drunk?" Gemma laughs.
"I think so. Probably. I don't know."
"Here you go," Harry says, coming out of no where with our drinks.
"You're drunk too, H?" Gemma asks, seeming concerned. He shrugs.
"I'm getting a room to spend the night here. I'll get you guys one too."
Harry and I nod, then finish of our drinks. A slower song began to play. Skinny Love by Birdy.
"You wanna dance?" He asks.
"Sure," I nod. We walk to the dance floor, and I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my waist. We quietly sway back and forth, my head resting on his shoulder.
"I had fun with you tonight," Harry says.
"Yeah me too," I look up at him. His green eyes were brighter tonight. When I first saw him at the bar, the were dull, lifeless. He was probably buzzing with the alcohol.
He puts his hand on my cheek, and I lean into his touch.
"I-" Harry begins.
"What?" I ask, concern clear in my voice.
"Is it okay if I kiss you?" He asks.
"Right now?" I ask.
"Yes, right now." He laughs.
"Okay." He grins, then takes my face in his hands, bringing my lips to his. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he pulled my closer to him.
"Should I still toss the bouquet, or should I hand it to you now?" The bride asks, interrupting our kiss. We give her small glance, before Harry took me back in his arms.
A/N: Sorry this is so late. Hopefully this chapter makes up for it. They finally got together!! Yay! Okay well, have a nice rest of your week. I should have an update ready by Friday or Saturday. Also, I thought I should warn you now this story isn't going to be that long. Maybe 18-20 more chapters. I want to have it completed by the end of this month believe it or not. I have the ideas it's just expanding on them and making it a fulfilling chapter. I know I haven't stuck to my promise about updating more often. I'll be working a lot harder on that, now that June is almost half over. Like OMG 2015 is half over. Where has the time gone? Anyway, sorry for the long note. In summary, more updates are coming. I shall talk to you Saturday, if not, sooner. Bye! xx
