2 years later

I worked quietly, finishing up the last bit of school work I'd ever have. "Hey Eden," Logan and Chase say coming up to me. They were some of my friends I had made here in America.

"What's up?" I ask.

"There's a party tonight to celebrate our last day and kind of a pre-graduation thing. You need to come. Anna really wants you there, too," Chase says. Anna was Chase's girlfriend and my best friend.

"I don't know," I sigh, "I have a lot of packing to do, and Anna told me she'd help. Why is she going to a party?"

"Eden," Logan groaned, "everyone is going to this party."

Logan was Chase's best friend. At one point, Logan use to have a big crush on me. I had to kindly decline his offers, when he asked me out. My heart was still set on someone else. I looked down at the chain on my neck, holding it in my hand.

"You still think about that guy," Logan scoffs.

"Of course I do," I glare.

"When was the last time you even talked to him?" Chase asked.

"A year and a half," I sigh. As somewhat predicted, Harry and I lost touch. We tried so hard to text and call, but with his work, my school, and the time zones it became impossible. Not to mention, I dropped my phone in the pool at a party, and had to change my number since it wasn't registered in America. "I think I'm going to skip tonight, but maybe we can go out later in the week," I nod.

"Loser," Chase says, shaking his head.

"Whatever ass," I laugh.

The class begins to clear out, handing in their last bit of school work. I hand in my papers, relief washing over me. I was free. I began to walk out the door, when someone called my name.

"Miss Eden," Mr. Reed calls. I freeze in my spot, backing up to his desk.

"Yes Mr. Reed?" I ask.

"I just wanted to say how proud I am of you. You've come a long way since you walked into my classroom four years ago," he nods. Mr. Reed complimenting me? I never thought I'd live to see the day.

"Ah thanks," I smile. "You've come a long way, too."

"Thanks Eden," he says, sarcastically.

"When do you leave to go back home?" I ask, referring to England.

"I'm not going home."

"What?"

"Not that it's any of your business, but I've been with someone for almost 2 years now, and I'm going to ask her to marry me."

"You're staying behind for her?" I ask.

"I know, I know. It sounds crazy, but people do crazy things for the person the love. I'm sure you can kind of relate."

"Not really. I left the person I love to come here and haven't talked to him in a year and a half."

"Then you've got a lot to work on, when you get back there. When do you leave?"

"Sunday." It was Wednesday, so I had a few days to prepare.

"So soon?"

"Yeah, I've had enough of America to last me a life time."

"You want to get home to see that guy don't you?" He shakes his head.

"Yes sir," I smile. Getting a bubbly feeling, when I think about Harry.

"What was his name?" Mr. Reed asks.

"Harry."

"Styles?" He asks.

"You know him?" I furrow my eyebrows.

"He was just getting into Uni, when I was graduating. His older sister was in my year. He's a little older than you, isn't he?"

"He's 26 now."

"Harry's a good kid. He's good for you Eden. I wish both of you all the luck. Hopefully things work out," he smiles.

"I hope so."

"I probably won't be able to speak to you directly at graduation, so I wish you the best of luck in life." I smile, thanking him, before leaving my final class.

I walked through the parking lot, people opening beer cans and celebrating. I smiled to myself, walking to Anna and I's apartment we share. Even though she's at Chase's most of the time.

"Eden!" Someone called. I turned around, seeing Anna running to me. "We're free," she exclaimed, jumping and giving me a hug. I laugh at her reaction. "Sorry I can't help pack," she says.

"It's fine. I just need to pack a suitcase and a box of things. Most of the stuff is yours."

"True," she chuckles. "I'll see you tomorrow. We can go get lunch."

"Deal."

I was quietly packing my bag. My Imagine Dragons playlist on shuffle. It felt strange packing my things, to go home. This time next week, I'd be back in my apartment.

I just kept my clothes for the next few days and my cosmetics out of my bag. The rest was packed and ready to go. I walked into my bedroom, making sure everything was packed. I noticed a picture frame contained the picture of Harry and I at the zoo. I didn't notice I was crying, until a tear hit the frame. "I'm coming back," I whisper, brushing my fingers over the photo.
