Never been so defenseless

You just keep on buldin' up your fences

But I've never been so defenseless"

Johnny was pissed.

"Why would you do that?" He yelled at his daughter.

"Like I said, I have to help Robby." She yelled back.

They had been having this conversation for almost an hour and Maeve was getting tired of repeating herself over and over again.

"Why now? You could've done that months ago. But now that I need you, you just decide to go to Cobra Kai?!" He asked again.

"Yes! Because he's getting out of hand and this doesn't mean anything, it's just a stupid tournament, its not the end of the world!" Maeve yelled back.

"I made a bet, if they win there will be no more karate for me. Do you understand that?!" Johnny ran a hand over his face trying to calm down.

"Yes! Yes I do understand! I understand that you made a bet, you didn't sign anything! That bet means nothing! If you lose you can just go on, who cares about that stupid bet!" She exclaimed.

Maeve didn't understand why he was taking this so seriously. It was just a stupid bet, not the end of the world.

"You- just- go to your room!" Johnny yelled after taking a deep breath.

"Fine!" She yelled back, slamming the door.

"Hey! No door slamming in this house." He yelled after her.

Maeve screamed into her pillow out of rage.

When Maeve woke up the next day, her dad was already gone.

She felt bad about their fight, but she just didn't get why he took this bet so seriously.

Sure, he cared about karate and everything, but it was still just a bet.

So after having breakfast by herself, she walked to school with Tory.

They talked about everything that happened since the last time they saw each other and they were both surprised how much had changed.

Once they got through security, they saw everyone looking at Tory.

Maeve glared at them, which made most of them look away.

Only Sam was still looking.

The brunette made her way towards them.

Tory spoke up first.

"I heard you let me back in, LaRusso. So I guess I should-" The taller girl started, but Sam cut her off.

"I don't know what game you're playing, but I'm not scared of you. You're not in control here. I am." Sam told her, making Maeve raise her eyebrows.

"My parents might fall for your bullshit, but if you so much as look at me funny, I will kick your ass for a third time."

She paused for a few seconds before adding. "Im coming for you. Bitch."
