Rosie's POV

I yawned as my mom grabbed me closer to her side as she ringed the bell. "Fix your hair peachy pie." She muttered under her breath as she hastily stroke my hair that's not been in place.

It seems like my mom is nervous judging by the way she fiddled on her dress while waiting for a respond through the speaker just about above the gate bell.

She woke me up quite early to help her make breakfast for Dante as her way of peace offering and pushed me to take a shower so we'd come by early. Too early to be exact. "Mom. It's literally six in the morning. I doubt anybody is awake to let us in at this hour."

"Hello, How may I help you?" someone said through a small speaker. "Ah! Good morning. I'm dropping my daughter today to take care of Dante." my mom quickly grabbed my arm closer to her so I'd be seen through the security camera. I awkwardly waved my hand to let them know I'm harmless even though I accidentally caused harm to one of their Master's daughter.

"Alright." someone replied. When the gate automatically opened, my mom shoved me inside and gave me two thumbs up. "You're not coming?" I asked, I don't think I can go inside on my own.
"Mom..." I whined. "You're good honey. Don't be scared!" I glared at her. Jeez, I feel like a kid insisting her to at least drop me off at the door.

She ushered me to go ahead. "Mom...." I whined and was about to back out but she quickly got inside the car and locked it from the inside. I frowned when she grinned and waved her hand before zooming off.

"Are you coming or not?" This time, the sound came from the speaker outdoor. Enough for me to hear from this far. I quickly picked up on my feet and hasten towards the main door. By the time I reached towards the main door, I was catching my breath.

Jesus, why didn't just mom drop me off here?

When I was about to knock on it, the door opened revealing Dante in a comfy clothes. A pair of pajamas under a cardigan. "Good morning." I let out a tight smile, feeling my heart beating out from it's chest the very moment I saw her face. Seriously am I this infatuated by this human being right in front of me even when her nose is swelling?

"Morning. Get inside." she spoke and gave me enough space to come in. "Did you ate any breakfast yet?" I asked as I tried to look around for the kitchen.

"No. I actually came down early because I was hungry." My eyes lightened at the information. "Then, you're in luck. My mom woke up early to make this so..." I trailed and put my bag on the counter to take out the packed food for her. "... I hope you enjoy it." I smiled.

"May I?" she asked, pointing at the packed meals. "Sure, go ahead."

I heard her say a silent 'woah' when she saw the exquisite food presentation.

"This is a lot. She made all this?" she was stunned by how much effort we put on the food for a single person... er patient.

"We did. I didn't just stand around, doing nothing." I rolled my eyes and sat next to her.

She teasingly squinted her eyes, "What did you contribute then?"

"I was the one designing your meal, as you can tell." I said while wiggling my fingers on the food presentation. She chuckled upon my respond. "How artsy of you. This is beyond my expectations, to be honest." she said, digging unto her food the moment I gave her a disposable fork.

I somehow felt cocky, seeing her reaction."It's made with love, that's why." I smugly replied. She looked at me for a moment and back at the container she just opened. "Does these hearts mean something then?" she smirked, showing me the freshly cut tomato, cucumber and carrot carved hearts.
