I woke up extra early to see David. I went to the beach at eight and saw him surfing already. I guess not being able to surf for the last couple of days is terrible for him. I grabbed my board from the side of the house and ran out to join him. I paddled out to him and sat up on my board next to him while we waited for the next wave.
"Hey!" He said excitedly.
"Hey." I replied.
We kissed eachothers lips and smiled. "When we are done here we are going to my place. I have to show you something." He said.
"I have to show you something to." I said. I forgot for a moment about the song I wrote.
"Can you take it to my house?" He asked.
"Yeah." Right then a wave started forming and me and David started paddling out to it. He let me catch it and when I road it, it was one of the best feelings ever. Not just being on the wave but knowing that David was with me.
After we where through surfing around noon, we headed back to David's house. He opened the door for me and lead me to his room. His room had surf posters and surfboards on the wall. And in the corner there was a grand piano. He grabbed me from behind and crattled me. "You have a piano?" I told him.
He looked up at it. "Yeah." He said while grabbing my hand and leading me to it. "It's old but it still works.'' He looked across the room. "Oh yeah I need to show you something." He walked over to his desk and grabbed what appeared to be a book. He handed it to me. It was like a scrapbook and journal in one. "I made it. See? It's full of pictures of us and journal entrys I wrote each day we took those photos."
"I love it."
"Good because I made two." He said and pulled one from behind his back. It had my name on it.
"Oh my. I love it." I said staring at it.
I kissed him with passion because I loved it so much. "So what do you want to show me?" He asked.
"I wrote you a song." I said heading to the piano.
"Awe. That's nice now let's hear it."
I sat at the piano and begain playing the first few notes that lead the song:
When I'm alone
Don't know where to go
I look around
and still I know
that I have you
But when I got to the chorus was when he really smiled at me:
You will never go
'Cause you will always know
That our love is deeper than any sea
But when I see you I think it's deeper than we see
You are the one for me
Oh, you are the one for me
Love deeper than any sea
When I finished the song he started clapping with excitement and hugged me. "Oh my gosh, Emily. That is the best song I've ever heard."
I started bowing. ''Thank you. Thank you." We both laughed and sat on the bed.
I saw David looking me straight in the eyes while pushing a piece of my loose hair behind my ear. "Can I go forward when my heart is here? Turn back, dull earth, and find thy centre out.''
"Where you quoting Shakespeare?" I wondered.
"Yeah. His love tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. One of my favorites."
"Are you kidding? I love Shakespeare. The use of his own words turn a story into poetry. It's amazing." I said.
''Wow. and I thought I was the only one who would like Shakespeare in a relationship."
"Yeah. Me too. I never took you on as a Shakespearen guy." I said while he cuddled me into his shoulder.
"With love's light wings did I o'erperch these walls; For stony limits cannot hold love out, And what love can do, that dares love attempts."
"Wow," I said. "You really know how to whoo a girl."
"Yeah, but it's easier on you." He said then kissed me. "Hey you want to watch Romeo and Juliet?"
"Sure." I said.
"Sounds like a date." He got up and walk over to a shelf of tapes. He grabbed the Tape and walked towards his TV.
I watched as he bent down to put the tape in, the muscles on his back appearing under his tank top.
He grabbed the romote while it was loading and walked over to the bed. He closed the door before returning to the bed. We both sat up at the head of the bed, and snuggle eachother and started the movie.
