" Hey, Emily! Drew's here!" Timmy called out to me once I walked into the house.

"Hey, dork," Drew greets me while standing with my brother.

"Dad!" I called out.

My Dad walked in from the kitchen, washing his hands with a dishrag. "Hey, sweetheart. Something wrong?"

"Can you tell them to give me some space during this vacation?"

Dad looked over at them. "How about you guys get out of the house for a while? It just stopped raining, so, how about you two walk into town and pick up something for dessert?" Dad walked over to them, pulling his wallet out of his pocket and handed them twenty dollars. "It shouldn't cost that much, so, I'm expecting some money back. Or, you can go get a few groceries."

Timmy grabbed the money and put it in his pocket. "Can I take the car?"

Dad shook his head. "No."

Timmy sighed. "Fine." He walked out of the house with Drew beside him.

Dad was about to walk back in the kitchen before turning to me. "You want to help with dinner? I'm making pork."

"I think I'm just going to rest in my room for a while."

Dad nodded. "Well, I'll be in the kitchen if you need anything." He walked back into the kitchen.

I walked to my room. The image of this evening leaving a smile on my face. I lay on my bed looking up at my ceiling as soon as I walk into my room and closed the door and just thought about what just happened between me and David. One thought ran through my head. Him. All my mind did was focus on him and the way his lips connected to mine. I reached over to my side table and turned my radio on and listened to this song by Michael Jackson. I just laid there staring at the ceiling. Before I knew it, I was asleep, listening to music when the song "Cryin'" by Aerosmith came on the radio and trailed into my dream playing in the background as David walks me underneath the pier and kissed me so passionately that it was all that's on my mind. It replayed in my dreams all night. It was lovely.

The next morning, I had a quick breakfast before heading to the beach. Once on the beach, I saw David in the lifeguard chair, looking out at the water. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a tank top with the word "Lifeguard" on it, along with red swim trunks.

I walked over and stood beside the lifeguard chair. "Hey."

He looked down at me and smiled. "Hey." He said before focusing back on the beach.

"Working?"

He nodded, not taking his eyes off the beach. "Yup. Living the dream." I chuckled. "How are you doing?"

"I'm doing quite well." I paused. "Drew arrived yesterday."

He whistled. "Tough luck.

I nodded. "Yeah." I bit my lip as I turned my head at the ocean before turning back to him. "I should probably leave, let you get back to work."

He looked down at me and took off his sunglasses. "No, you can stay. I have a towel in my bag. You can spread it out and just relax." He reached into his bag beside him and threw down a towel. I did as he said and laid out the towel and sat on it. "I had a great time yesterday."

I looked up at him and smiled. He didn't look at me as he leaned forward and patrolled the beach. "I did too."

"Maybe we can have another day like that."

"That sounds great."

"Hey, David." We both turned to see a boy and girl, both around our age, heading our way. It was the boy that spoke. "How are you doing?"
