The fight broke out instantly, as soon as everyone were ready. Harry gave Draco a glance before running off with Hermione and Ron, the others running in different directions. Draco was not happy with that, but he was soon nudged into action.
Spells flew all around their ears, the buildings exploding and debris falling. If it hadn't been for Draco's wolf instincts, both him and Ginny would have been crushed under the crumbling walls, multiple times. "Why don't you shift!?" Luna shouted as she slammed the doors to the library closed and warded it. Draco sighed and quickly put up different traps in the room, should death eaters manage to get in anyway.
They had run in there with Seamus, Ginny, Neville, Dean, Pansy, Blaise and Cho Chang; to come up with better plans of what to do. "Shift!?" Seamus shouted over the fighting that could still be heard from outside. "Yes! Draco and Harry are mated creatures! Did you not know this?!" Pansy yelled back, her wand ready towards the door, as was Blaises'.
After some argueing, Draco turned to them with a plan and they all apparated out of the room in groups, letting the wards fall and the death eaters enter, just to be caught in the different traps, some quite harmful, and deadly if you didn't get medical help almost instantly.
"WATCH OUT!" Pansy screamed, watching her best friends as well as herself being surrounded by death eaters.
"Traitor children!" Fenrir growled and turned into a wolf. "DRAY!" Pansy cried as the wolf lunged at her. In a split second, Draco had shifted and growled while jumping to the Lycanthropy poisened beast, his teeth diggin into the flesh as he threw him to the ground.
"Wicked!" Dean exclaimed, all the other death eaters having been too scared to do anything when they saw Draco shift, and had easily been overpowered. Draco saw red and in one smooth rip, he tore off Fenrir's head, snarling as the mans blood entered his mouth.
Spitting it out, he looked at the other death eaters that had once more crowded, all of them, shakingly taking a step or more back, away from the beast who had just taken one of their strongest warriors. Draco shifted back when he saw that all had put their tails between their legs and taken off. Pansy gripped his arm as he swayed a bit, dizzy from having shifted so fast. "Augh, that's just disguting..." He said and then bend over, throwing up blood and whatever he ate that morning for breakfast.
Seamus, Dean, Ginny and Blaise all looked away, grimacing. Draco's clothes were torn, loosely hanging on his body. Luna handled that with a quick spell, as well as vanishing the bile and blood from Draco's mouth, which the blonde man was very greatful for.

The moon was rising on the night sky, and things had finally started to calm a bit. Sweat poured off of the kids, as well as the adults who were all fighting fiercly. Draco had shifted multiple times and had been of great help, none of them in their group had seen the three from the golden trio, but knew from some of the Aurors who had seen them, that they were alright and had taken down more death eaters than almost all of them.
"I'm so tired..." Tonks breathed, leaning against Kingsley who sighed and gave the small woman an energy replenishment potion. Draco growled when he sensed someone coming, adrenaline too high to notice that it was friend and not foe. He was about to attack, when he saw who it was, "Hermione!" McGonagall sighed in relief, then Ron and Harry came stumbling out as well.
"Oh how good it is to see you all..." Arthur said breathlessly and Ron instantly went into his parents' arms, his siblings crowding around them as well. McGonagall brought in Hermione to a tight hug, the young girl's tense shoulders, relaxing and she drew in a breath of relief.
Harry on the other hand, stumbled over to his fiancé, throwing his arms around Draco and he broke down in tears. Draco, wrapping his arms tightly around Harry, did the same, the two sobbed into one anothers shoulders and just took in the others scent, not caring that they were given weird looks. "I'm so sorry that I left you on that doorstep..." Harry sobbed and Draco let out a wet chuckle. "Don't be, Harry... It was what was needed to happen... I'm sorry I hated you for so long, and that I wasn't more careful! You shouldn't have had to take on the curse like that..."
Breaking out of the hug, Harry placed his hands on Draco's face, smiling and then went up on his tip toes, the blonde man taller than him now, and placed a peck on Draco's lips. Draco however, would not take a simple peck, instantly needing more. Moving his own hands into Harry's hair, he pulled the man into another kiss, but this time it was soft, loving and passionate.
"I don't understand how you could forgive him so easily, Potter." Seamus growled, but he was jabbed in the side by Luna and given a nasty glare by the young blonde. "You better shut your mouth..." Pulling back, Harry chuckled and caressed Draco's cheek. "It'll all be over soon... And I have something to tell you, when it is..." He whispered and Draco smiled, not happy with not having Harry's lips on his anymore, he just hummed and pulled that man back into another lip breaking kiss.
Harry never wanted to stop kissing his man, but the way that the hairs on his arms and neck rose. How time seemed to slow around them, his eyes widened and faster than what seemed possible; he pulled back from the kiss and spun him and Draco around, wincing as something hit him square in the back. Pain traveled up his spine, his nails digging into Draco's arms, as he fell to his knees with a pained scream.
Draco watched with wide eyes as Harry fell to the ground. But he didn't react, not until Harry was suddenly silent. His blood ran cold, the scream of horror sounded from Hermione and Molly. A cold tear ran down his left cheek, falling to his knees beside Harry, starring into his blank eyes, they were a pale green... A single tear slipped out of his eyes and Draco shakingly brought a hand to Harry's face, spells flying around them, but he knew... He could feel their bond straining.
"No..." He whispered, shaking his head. His whole body shook, now with anger, his eyes turning pitch black.
"NO!" Draco's voice roared out, and a pulse of some sort of energy sent every death eater as well as his friends, flying back. Letting out a scream of anger, Draco leaned over Harry's body, face buried in the boys chest. Ripping through from under his skin, 20 or so, foot long wings made of black feathers and red flames, sprouted from his back, sending cremation worthy flames, towards the death eaters; somehow sparing his friends and the ones on Harry's side.
"DRACO!" Pansy yelled and was hauled back by Blaise from trying to reach his best friend, who was sobbing into his fiancé's chest, alone, cremated bodies of death eater soldiers landing at his feet. It took around 7 minutes before Draco finally lifted his head. His eyes remained pitch black as he stood up and turned to the remaining group of death eaters.
Bellatrix, Narcissa and Lucious, Voldemort, Pansy's parents, Severus, Blaise's parents and a few ones that Draco didn't even know the names of.
Stumbling with the added weight, Draco straightened his back and looked at them. "Don't... He needs to finish this..." Minerva whispered to Pansy, who sobbed and fell against Blaise' arms.
Draco turned his eyes and looked at his father, directly in the eye, something he had never done before. "What the hell is the matter with you, Draco!?" His father snapped and Draco instead glanced at his mother, who sent him a small smile, but her eyes shone with worry for her son. "Draco Malfoy..." Voldemorts voice drawled and Draco turned to him.
"You... Are a creature... A Phoenix bond..?" Draco furrowed his brows, the added weight had disappeared as they talked, not that he cared. His mate was dead... On the ground behind him... He had nothing more to live for.
"Come... My child... You are more powerful than I could have ever thought... You need proper training and to be cared for..." Draco shook his head. "You..." His voice shook, with anger and grief. "Killed him..." Voldemort sighed and shrugged his shoulders, a small laugh escaping his lips. "So what, my child?! He is a mere cassualty for the future of our world." Draco let out a snarl, his body heat picking up along with his anger.
"Calm, child-"
"Stop. Calling. Me. A CHILD!"
Draco let out a growl and instantly shifted to his wolf form, right where he stood, easily towering over them all and glaring at them. "Holy shit..." Blaise and Pansy's parents gasped and they glanced at the wolf, then at Voldemort, before apparating away.
"A phonix and wolf bond..? Impossible..." Lucious gasped and Severus sneered. "And when have you ever thought Potter and Draco's lives to be possible?" He snapped and slowly walked away, joining them on the other side where he knelt down and picked up Harry on the way, gently scooping the boy into his arms with a fond look on his otherwise stern face.
As he was walking back to the group of light, he heard the screams of Bellatrix, as well as the other death eaters. When he heard Lucious let out a gasp and then a pop, he knew the man had apparated away like the coward he was. Closing his eyes, he kept walking with Harry.
