Bucky and Y/N

Chapter 21

The next few days were filled with moving out of your old room. Willow seemed unsure about the situation and kept sitting in the middle of the room, not moving. Bucky and I are now staying in a different room for a while, as the construction will take a few weeks. Tony had approved our design and said he would take over the construction part of it all. He even said he would add some extra Stark tech to the office.

Y/N - come of Willow. We are not going far, just upstairs. It's still going to be you be a Bucky.

As soon as I mentioned Bucky, her tail started wagging.

Y/N - are you choosing favourites?

Bucky - you two just love me so much.

Willow ran up to him and started to make a fuss of her. I stood there, hands on your hips.

Y/N - hello to you too!

Bucky - It's settled then. We'll have to make sure we take care of Willow and show her lots of love and attention.

Y/N - *smiling*. Agreed. She's been through a lot of changes lately, so we'll need to make sure she feels secure and loved.

Bucky - *nodding* Definitely. And once we're settled into our new home, we can start thinking about getting her a friend.

Y/N - *excitedly* Yes, a furry little friend for Willow. That would be perfect.

Bucky - *smiling* I'm glad we're on the same page, my love.

We spent the rest of the day packing up our belongings and moving them to the new room. Willow seemed to have settled down and was enjoying the new space. As we sat down on the bed, exhausted but happy, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and support that we had in our lives.

Bucky - I'm still not sure I like this room. I like to be near Steve, him being downstairs makes me uncomfortable.

Y/N - I understand, Buck, but we'll only be upstairs for a few weeks while our new office is being built. And we'll still see Steve every day.

Bucky - *sighing* I know, I know. It's just strange not being near him. We've been through so much together.

Y/N - *comfortingly* I know, and that won't change. We'll still see him every day, and we'll be back to our old routine soon enough.

Bucky - *smiling* You're right, my love. As long as I have you by my side, everything will be okay.

Y/N - *smiling back* That's right, Buck. We're in this together.

We cuddled up together, feeling grateful for the love and support that we had in our lives. There was a knock at the door.

Bucky - who is it?

Steve - it's Steve.

Bucky - come in.

Steve - hey, I wanted to just check on you, Buck. Are you doing okay?

Bucky - Yeah, I'm doing okay. It's just strange not being near you.

Steve - I know, Buck. But we'll still see each other every day, and we can still hang out.

Bucky - *smiling* Yeah, that's true.

Y/N - *smiling* Thanks for checking on him, Steve.

Steve - *smiling* Anytime, Y/N. If you guys need anything, just let me know.

We chatted for a few more minutes before Steve left, and we settled back into bed.
