It was Christmas morning. I woke up and kissed Bucky on the cheek. Bucky smiled and pulled me closer, his arms wrapping around me in a warm embrace.
Bucky - Merry Christmas, my love... I'm so grateful to have you in my life.
I smiled back at him, feeling the warmth and love in his words.
Y/N - Merry Christmas, Bucky... I'm grateful for you too. This is our first Christmas together, and I couldn't think of a better way to spend it than with you and our family.
Bucky leaned down and kissed me deeply, his lips soft and gentle against mine. As we pulled away, he smiled at me again.
Bucky - Let's go celebrate with our family.
I nodded, feeling happy and content in his arms. We got up and headed downstairs, ready to start our Christmas celebrations with the rest of our crazy family. Morgan ran up to me as soon as I walked into the kitchen.
Morgan - Merry Christmas, Y/N! *throwing her arms around me tightly* Did Santa come?
Y/N - Yes, he did. Let's go see what he brought you.
Bucky and I spent the morning watching Morgan and the rest of our family open their presents, laughing and enjoying each other's company. Bucky pulled me to the corner of the room with a few gifts in his other hand.
Bucky handed the pile. The first and largest was a drawing of us cuddling, signed by Steve.
Y/N - oh, it is beautiful
Bucky had written a note on the back, expressing his love for me and how grateful he was to have me in his life. I felt tears welling up in my eyes as I read his words, feeling overwhelmed with love and gratitude.
The second was a necklace with a small diamond in the centre. It was a beautiful piece of jewellery, and I could tell that Bucky had put a lot of thought and care into choosing it for me.
Y/N - This is too much. You can't spend this kind of money on me, Bucky.
Bucky - It's not too much, my love. You deserve the world and more. I just wanted to give you something special to show you how much I love you. And I want you to feel beautiful and loved every day.
Y/N - *smiling* Thank you, Bucky. I love it, and I love you.
The final gift was a jar filled with notes handwritten by Bucky. It said on the side, "When you need a reminder of how special you are".
Bucky - This is for the future, and I am on a mission without you and can't talk to you. You can pick one of these notes every day, and I hope they remind you of how much I love you and how special you are to me and everyone.
I start to cry. Bucky immediately pulls me into his arms, holding me close. He rubs circles on my back.
Bucky - Don't cry, my love. I just wanted to give you something special. You mean everything to me, and I want you to know that every day.
I bury my face in his chest, feeling the warmth and comfort of his embrace.
Y/n - I love you so much, Bucky... I never knew anyone could love me like you do.
Bucky leans down and kisses me tenderly, his lips soft and gentle against mine. Nat interrupts the moment.
Nat - Hey, guys! Merry Christmas! Sorry to interrupt, but it's food time, and we are all hungry.
We all head to the dining room, where Tony has prepared a huge Christmas feast. We sat down to eat, laughing and enjoying each other's company. As we ate, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the love and support that we had in our lives. No matter what challenges we faced, we were in this together, and that was all that mattered. After the feast, Bucky and I cuddled in one of the sofas in the living room, and Morgan put on a Christmas film.
