Bucky and Y/N

Chapter 17

I sat up and got out of my bed running and opening the door to find Stave racing past and into Bucky's room. I looked up the hallway to see Nat in what looked like Steve "modern" shirts. I tentatively took a few steps forward to look in Bucky's room. He sat on the end of his bed the his hands covering his face. Steve was quietly whispering to him, not taking his eyes of Bucky. Willow realising other people were up quickly rushed over to Bucky to comfort him. Bucky's eyes shot over to the door when he realised that Willow was in-front of him.

Y/N - hey handsome
Bucky - Hi
Y/N - are you okay? Do you want to talk about it?
Bucky - not right now.
Y/N - that's okay. Do you want me to stay here or do you want Steve and I to go so you can have some alone time?
Bucky - Can you stay? *turning to Steve* thank pal, I am so sorry about this...
Steve - do not apologise for this... now I'll leave you alone with your girl, I need to get back to mine.

I took a small step into Bucky's room to let Steve passed and through the door. I watched as Steve and Nat entered into the bedroom together. Then turning to Bucky I walk over to him and placed one hand on face, he opened his arms, to then hold me in a tight hug, I wrapped my legs around his waist and hold his head close to my shoulder. Who knows how long we stayed like this but Bucky pulled away, looking me in the eyes...

Bucky - I think I am ready to tell you...
Y/N - are you sure. There is no need to rush.
Bucky - yeah... if I can't talk to you, who else can I talk to?
Y/N - Steve..
Bucky - he isn't as pretty as you though.
Y/N - *blushing* you such a charmer Sargent
Bucky - the only person I want to charm is you *tucking your hair behind an ear*
Y/N - now I do believe you are stalling..
Bucky - maybe... okay here goes.. I was back a hydra, and I was brought back from a mission, and I was being dragged into a dark room, then I was... was... put into the chair.. *tears started to roll down his face and I used my thumb to wipe them away* it hurt so much.
Y/N - it's okay, your safe, I'm here, Steve is just across the hallway and you will never ever go through that again, I promise you.
Bucky - thank you, for listening..
Y/N - anytime

I stood up and encouraged Bucky to lay back down of the bed, covering us with his sheets and laying with one leg and arm around him, and placing my head on his chest. Tracing a line from the centre of his chest down his abs and back up again, listening to his heart rate slow down and he slowly closed his eyes and falling asleep. I am not too sure when I fell asleep but suddenly I felt something pushing against me in the back. Rolling over to see Willow trying to get you attention.

Y/N - good morning girly! Are you hungry? Let's go

I start to get out of bed and move towards the door and when Bucky started to stir.
Bucky - where are you going?
Y/N - to feed the starving pup.
Bucky- *big sigh* okay, I'll miss you.
Y/N- *smiling and rolling my eyes* I'll miss you too

With that I blow him a kiss and walk out. When willow and I get to the kitchen I see Steve leaning against the cabinets drinking a coffee.

Y/N - good morning Steve. How are you?
Steve - I'm okay a little worried about Buck, he's not gonna be proud to tell his therapist about having nightmares again.
Y/N - *moving around the kitchen and feeding Willow* we can't control if he says anything or not but what we can do is just be there for him. I worry that me being here and the stress of the mission might be a hindrance for him.
Steve - you are the complete opposite, he feels so deeply about you, all he wants to do is protect, it's the Bucky I know from school. He has always protected me, still to this day he tries to go easy on me when in training. He's my best mate and he's been to hell and back, but I know you are good for him, you have made him so much happier in the past few weeks than since he has joined the team. Don't ever forget that. Okay?
Y/N - okay. Steve, you are such a good friend, when Bucky and I went on our first date he loved talking about you. I didn't realise at the time the Steve he was talking about was you but he spoke about how he was supported by you. Don't you ever doubt that your friendship cannot support him.

Bucky - yeah punk your all them family I've got

In shock Steve and I turn around not knowing that Bucky had even left his room.

Y/N - you should have stayed in bed. You need rest.
Bucky - I'll be okay. I'll have a nap later.
Y/N - promise?!
Bucky - you know I can't do that.
Y/N - then don't say it babe.
Bucky - sorry, I was trying not to worry you
Y/N - I will never stop worrying about you. You are my boyfriend, I know what I signed up for.
Bucky - okay... but if you gonna worry I am gonna, be protective. I know what I signed up for as well.

Completely forgetting Steve was there Bucky takes me by the hand and pulls me in to him. Placing his hand behind my head and presses his lips against mine.

Steve - well that's my cue to leave and go find my girlfriend before breakfast.

Suddenly around the corner Nat appeared. She walked straight over to Steve.

Nat - no need to find me. *pulling his him down to her height and kissing him* I'll always find you.

Bucky - is this what we look like?
Y/N - I hope not it's sickening.

Bucky wraps his arms around my stomach and stands behind me. Bucky kisses my temple and let's me lean into his chest. Steve - you two are just at the beginning. By the time you are on to year one, you can be disgustingly in love and you won't even care.
Nat - if you think we are bad you should see Wanda and Vision, now that is intense and overwhelming to watch.
Bucky - I saw them at one party of Starks and they were in the corridor just... *shivers* I can never un see it. Even in the 40s I would never had done that!
Y/N - well they are happy, and so are you... so are we... things have changed dramatically for all of us. I just hope that as soon as we can figure out how to solve the situation with me and then we can get on with our lives.

Steve - you do know that even if we solve this mission a new one will come along and we will have to deal with that one as a team.... Possibly a whole team.

Y/N - I'm not saying that there won't be more missions for you to go on or people trying to ruin our lives but I just hope that once this issue is over, for a while, a month or two, we can just be normal.

Nat - babe non of us are normal, we are both dating men who are over 100, look like they are in their late twenties and they both have super soldier serum running through their veins. Wanda is a witch dating a robot and that just the start of all of this.

Y/N - I know but it would be nice to go on a date, in a restaurant with out the threat of being attacked super high.
